How bad do you think the NCAA penalties will be for LSU?

I don't really follow basketball penalties that much. This is different than Louisville hookers and UNC classes. This is flat out paying kids to play.

What do you think the penalties will be (non LSU fans only please)?

If the school knew? Pretty damn severe. Especially if they blow off the investigation. If they thumb their nose at the NCAA, you could be looking at just shy of the death penalty.

No school knowledge and full "I'm bending over for you Mr. NCAA", and they can get away without too much pain.

Wade's gone either way though.

Pretty bad.

But if this happened to Kentucky, Vanderbilt would lose all scholarships for 10 years.

I don't know if LSU will stand behind Wade with all of the leaking of the wiretaps.

LSU can honestly say no one at LSU knew the head basketball coach was working deals behind the scenes using his personal cell phone to communicate with runners/agents, etc. And show a good faith effort to clean up the mess by shite canning the guy who's voice is all over the tapes.

The Feds had taped conversations of Gene Chizik and a third party runner/agent discussing strong deals and Cam getting more than the rookie minimum if he came to Auburn?

What makes you think this, besides a vague recording?

Probably nothing, and rantards will spam/bump every thread being made today down the road and butthurt SEC fans will spend hours editing asterisk memes when they lose to LSU for the foreseeable future

The harshest penalty ever handed down by the NCAA was in 1952, when they issued the 1st "death penalty" to Kentucky for having several players arrested for point shaving.

UK was banned from playing the 52-53 season.

I don't expect that for LSU, ha.

Probably won't be the UNC get out of jail card, which is never ANY sanction? Maybe 1 post season ban? Who knows with the NCAA

Do you really believe the FBI cares about paying recruits or do you think they are looking at the non-taxes money exchanging hands. If they find this in BB, then you know what comes next for FB etc...
