I thought I made it as ridiculous as I could so anyone would know it was a joke. So, I'm with you in that regard.

Miami board I visited alot used to tell the same joke. White players---gym rats, lunch pail, cerebral. Black players---athletic. Sort of a cliche for announcers, etc. in sports media.

From the Zach Evans thread on the SECRb:
quote:
He said UGA likely moving on from Zach Evans. Dell McGee did go scout him this weekend but guess Kirby not happy with the circumstances and repercussions from the suspension and what it could forecast on college level. Already dealt with attitude and insubordination issues with Brenton Cox and doesn’t want to risk it I guess if we bow out. I suppose UGA could still be in but sounds less likely for sure.
There goes Georgia copying Bama again.
And yet they signed Pickens last year? He's more than a handful (and he was last year in HS, too... though, to be fair, I don't think he ever got suspended) off the field.

WR was Bama's lowest priority in the 2019 cycle, so Saban passed on Pickens. But WR was a big need for UGA. They also didn't want Pickens to go to Auburn. So UGA was willing to take a risk on him. But since UGA is in good shape with RBs, they're not pressed to take a risk on Evans.

Magnolia State's top prospect says UA visit 'better than ever' (BamaOnLine-VIP)
4-star DT McKinnley Jackson 6-2/327 MS hudl
Summary: Jackson took his first OV this past weekend to Bama for it's game vs Ole Miss. He's articulate and made it clear that he understands and appreciates Bama's program culture and their plans and expectations for him. Jackson speaks very highly of Golding, Baker, Saban and host Raekwon Davis and his relationships with them. He talked like Bama is his favorite, but then said he has no leader yet and plans to take the rest of his scheduled OVs:
Dec. 14-16 — Auburn
Jan. 17-19 — LSU
Jan. 24-26 — Ole Miss
Jan. 31-Feb. 2 — Texas A&M

Five 2020 DEs with the most interesting recruitments
quote:
Reggie Grimes
Contenders: South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee
Recruiting outlook: The Alabama legacy just took his official visit to Tuscaloosa a couple weeks ago and it remains to be seen how much of an option the Tide will be for him. South Carolina is the betting favorite right now. He’s visited the Columbia campus a number of times and he is really close with the coaching staff. No decision date is set right now but there will surely be some additional visits before he make a commitment.
Farrell's take: Grimes is a legacy recruit for Alabama, but it's unclear how badly they want him so South Carolina is the team to beat as they've done a great job recruiting him and building a relationship. Tennessee has to be included here as well as he's an in-state kid, but the Vols rough start could hurt them.

That highlight video..........holy shite. And that is against big schools in Southern California and national powers like Bishop Gorman, not 1A ball in South Dakota.

Why did he take his OV to Bama so early when all his other visits are after his season and he is signing in February.
Any special reason?

Hopefully that Shane Lee connection will help reel him in.

Maybe Bama is aiming to sign him in Dec.
