Gus lives in the fast lane and loves it when his back is against the wall.

Or just maybe, we should not melt about recruiting 10 months before signing day. Haha.

Gus’s staff defies the odds. Has the resilience of cockroaches in nuclear worlds. I’ll give him that. It was shown last year when only a spoiled WR jumped off board. It’s time to make it easier on himself though.

That's like asking Randy & a few select others not to breathe. Not gonna happen.

I betcha Pegues ends up at DT. He played all along the line in high school as well as TE of course
This is one of the more intriguing things to follow right now to me. I've asked people who cover the team if his weight is potentially an issue, but never got a response. Unless he truly is a freak athlete I don't see how at his height and weight he can play TE in the SEC. We don't really have any back up options as far as I know either.

And if even he is a freak athlete that can play TE at that size, then I'd probadly want him on the DL anyway. He can certainly make more money.

Article from July about Pegues

Doesn’t look like bad weight, but perhaps there was some bad weight in May when he clocked in at 280.

He plays RB, Wildcat QB, and WR/TE for his high school team and he wants to play TE in college.

I’m not too concerned about his weight. He’ll shape up in college

Yea he really doesn't seem to have that much bad weight and seems to move very well. If we're being honest, looking at him, he is about perfect for what Gus would want out of a HB/TE.

Yup! In terms of his role at AU he may be the next Spencer Nye, and maybe we'll throw to the big man once in a while.

I spent some time the other day going over both Pouncey and Dennis and I couldn’t come away with a favorite. Dennis just has great tape and his Opening measurables are elite. The 40 yard dash at the opening has looked bad for a lot of fast athletes but Dennis clocked a 4.40

Now, just get back with me if we happen to miss on Dennis

Yeah I assume that means we know we are taking George, Tennison, and Dennis. He's a good player and I wanted him, but we are in good shape still.

Yes at least we have other good options but Pouncey is rated significantly higher by the people who do this for a living.

Take a look at how far Chris Thompson just dropped, or Tate Johnson, look at where ESPN has Trenton Simpson ranked.. Rankings are a guideline not a guarantee. Assuming we get the guys I named we aren't taking a lesser player just a different one.
