Has the Alabama football program reached critical mass?

We have all seen football programs rise to dynasty status only to eventually crumble into mediocrity.
There is no doubt Alabama has achieved a high level of success for several years now. But success can eventually lead to mediocrity. Has critical mass been reached and the process of decay to mediocrity started?
1. When a program is on the rise and starts achieving sucesss, it becomes sexy to recruits. But after a while, “fatigue” sets in and recruits start looking for the next sexy program on the rise. I am not saying Alabama is starting to lose recruits because it is still having highly ranked classes, But is the ability to attract recruits on the horizon?
2. Complacency can set in with success. At first, there is hunger to drive a program to success and its fun and exciting. But after a while “boredom” or complacency can set in.
3. Expectations can be unrealistic and if not reached then the fans can turn on the program and demand a change. Fans will look at the season as a complete failure if a national championship is not won or at least be competitive in the championship game.
4. Because of success, the coaching staff becomes a hot commodity such that there is turnover every year. It looks good to recruits if a coach came from a program like Alabama. It is hard to establish consistency with constant turnover of your coordinators and assistants. It appears there will be a large turnover of coaches on Bama’s staff this year.

Four days ago Alabama had the greatest team ever. Today the program is at critical mass. All after one football game. Get a grip people.

They are currently #1 in recruiting for the 2019 class, lost 1 game in 2018 and won the National Championship a year prior. Yep total dumpster fire.

Time will show Saban ruined Bama football.
Ruined it.
This is as good as it will ever get and will NEVER get this good again.
Days to look forward to: ZERO.

It was much more than that. Clemson stripped Alabama of their big and bad persona.
Imagine a bully constantly picking on kids for a long time. Then one day a new kid rolls in and gives the bully an atomic wedgie in front of the whole school.
The school will no longer respect or fear the bully because he got embarrassed in front of everyone.
That is basically what happened.

Yea ok, just keep telling yourself that until Alabama keeps rolling over your team.

The school is made up of one legged gingers, though, so it really doesnt matter what they think.

How is all this psycho-babble going to help LSU next season in Tuscaloosa? Because you know the first 3 & out or TO the LSU offense has, the Tigers' throats are going to tighten.

And then they'll remember Clemson went 3 & out on their first drive before breaking off 44 in you.
I understand that Alabama fans will disagree. But the way everyone viewed the Alabama football program changed Monday night.

We had the number one recruiting class this year. We have years of top 3 classes already on campus. The greatest coach in college football history. I don't believe you have seen the last of Bama in the playoffs.
Even if we take a step back we will still roll over the SEC West Who is going to challenge us besides Georgia? LSU wasn't even in the game at home this year. They also lag behind in recruiting. Auburn is in decline currently. Texas AM is still a couple years away from having the talent.
Next year will look alot like this year.

Their golden boy Dabo took down Saban. It’s going to be a 30 for 30 one day

It's almost as if Alabama has never ever lost a football game. And to Clemson at that. Unbelievable. The bully has beaten LSU fans until they are delusional and think any Tiger team means them.
