They closed strong. They looked good so I don't completely blame them, but what they don't understand is that they will struggle to get respect until they leave that trash conference they're in. There's no talent in that conference outside of OU and Texas. As in, everybody knows that each year the rest of the conference takes a bunch of kids that no one else wants. And then Texas and OU coast through that trash and complain that they don't get respect.
Meanwhile... the top 4 recruiting schools right now are SEC teams. There are 11 SEC teams in the top 30 recruiting rankings.

Texas needed the win more than UGA. Georgia is already a contender. Texas reaches 10 wins for the first time since 2009. Texas needs all they can get to give them some sort of boost for the next season.
Similar can be said for OU over Alabama in the 2014 Sugar. It didn’t necessarily propel OU for the next season. Alabama losing didn’t phase them at all as they made it to the CFP semifinal the following year.

gee fellow. The Oklahoma fans made complete asses of themselves the last few weeks. I generally liked OU, but now I've become more of a Texas fan just because of the attitudes of the jerk Sooners.
You may not give a shite, but UT could create some new fans at this board. Not only those of us who were totally turned off by the OU fans, but some guys, a lot of LSU fans to mention one team, are not just real wild about Texas A&M, and would probably also pull for the Longhorns once in a while.
