The odds are better that Texas and OU go to the B1G

Why do people think this?

Sure the folks in Austin have an AAU school but Norman does not and will not in the next 50 years.

Texas needed the win more than UGA. Georgia is already a contender. Texas reaches 10 wins for the first time since 2009. Texas needs all they can get to give them some sort of boost for the next season.

Similar can be said for OU over Alabama in the 2014 Sugar. It didn’t necessarily propel OU for the next season. Alabama losing didn’t phase them at all as they made it to the CFP semifinal the following year.

A reasonable thought from a Sooner? Now I’ve seen it all.

Are we saying the bowl was meaningless? Yes, are we saying that made Georgia lose? No, I don't think so. Georgia was beaten and it was obvious that Texas was having a better day, I don't think Texas is a better team though.I don't think Georgia had the same fire as against Bama, they looked past Texas and lost.

The Clemson University SID office had this printed on corrugated plastic and installed in the $55 Million Indoor Football Practice Facility within 3 hours of this SEC ad campaign. It was pretty impressive how on top of this stuff our University is.

losers always going to downplay the ones they lose...

-Auburn downplayed the UCF loss
-Missouri downplayed the Texas loss
-LSU downplayed the Troy loss, in the regular season
-Georgia downplays the Texas loss
-LSU is even trying to downplay a poorly played 7-point win over UCF
-Alabama probably is trying to downplay this Clemson loss

if you're in the SEC...you don't give RESPECT to any team that beats you. I said about 10 days before the game that the defense would be better than Georgia expects and tougher on the run than is being given credit for..."that Texas won't talk big, they just want to play". That's what they did. seems like it's actually ACC/BIG12, it just means more.
