Saban is the undisputed King of CFB, but failed miserably as a pro.
Payton has a Super Bowl ring & sustained success at the highest level.

Sean Peyton?
Not sure who this guy is, don't think he's even in the business.
So I'll go Saban

Honestly they are both pretty special for the fact of where they came from and where they are in their careers. Mucho respect to both of them.

Nick Saban is probably the most dominant coach in any sport, maybe in history.
Sean Payton has won 1 SB
Sean Payton has won 1 SB

Coach Saban is the king of collage football as long as he is our coach. When he retires and we pick the next Alabama coach. He will be the king of collage football.

so a HS coach who has won more than Nick is a better coach?
The level of competition matters

I wouldn't call what Payton has done as sustained success. Lots of 7-9 and 8-8 type season with Drew Brees under center.

Compare him to the average NFL coach in terms of wins and tenure

Why would I compare him to the average coach when you are comparing him to Nick Saban?

Payton looks like a tranny

Can’t compare. Saban sucked in the NFL. Payton is elite. Also Payton was never a head coach in college.

I don't really care about the NFL to much. I get to see pro football being a Tide fan. And I don't care what anybody on here says. We could beat some of them pro teams this year. We can play with the Browns the Lions the Cardinals and the Raiders.

That's like asking who is better...Joe Maddon or the coach of the Tennessee Smokies.

Someone downvoted this but if you think about it doesn’t it sum up our fan base pretty well, I mean at least until they start to lose.

It’s probably harder to maintain dominance in the nfl, sure. Payton is a distant second behind Belichick. McVay is also catching up. The irony is that saban almost had breese in Miami.

so you equate CFB to the NFL?
I guess that's one answer that I was asking for in this thread
