If Tua had had an average (for him) performance in the SECCG, I’d feel pretty good about his chances to win. I think he lost it, though...which sucks because he has transformed our offense entirely.

Probably Murray. He showed up every game and his team never lost or nearly lost because of him.

Prior to the SEC CG, I'd have said Tua, but he got exposed that game and nearly cost Bama an SEC Title.

Give it to Murray.

Apparently you can't read. The injury to his right ankle late in the 3rd Qtr is why he came out but the surgery was to his left ankle. That's the one with the high ankle sprain. He played most of the game with that injury.

So then his poor play up until that point had nothing to do with an injury right?

Tua is the better player, and he isn't made of glass either.

Tua benefited from never really having pressure on him at all in any games. His team as a whole was better on both sides of the ball than anyone they faced.

Murray had more pressure on him basically every game, because of OU's swiss cheese defense. That makes a major difference.

Tua also has much better skill players to work with overall since Bama stayed ridiculously healthy.

Name one position on offense where OU is better than Bama talent-wise. OU lost its top running back in the first week or two of the season. Bama had almost no injuries all season.

Murray deserves it more.

In any other year, without the other in contention, either Tua or Murray would win it and it wouldn't even be remotely close.

Gary Danielson probably influenced the vote more than anyone. Kept saying Tua wasn't accurate under pressure and he tried to make plays that were not there.

Based on Kyler is just as accurate, but is so much more explosive in the run game.

Tua is penalized because he didn’t have to carry his team like Murray did his. If Bama could have won their games without Tua then he’s not as valuable as Murray. Murray was a difference maker in wins and losses while Tua was a different maker at making a game a 5 touchdown win vs a 3 TD win.

All the other awards are going on right now. Tua won the Camp (POTY) and Murray won the O'Brian (Best QB). They haven't done the Maxwell (POTY) yet.
Neither one is eligible for the Unitas (Best Senior QB).

Tua didn't even play a 4th quarter until most of the CFB year was over. And his stats are as good or better

That "terrible" defense you speak of outranked 4 SEC defenses this year, and those 2 offenses that beat that terrible defense were the #1 and #8 offenses in the nation.

You do know that there are 14 teams in the SEC right? Which means that there are 10 better? Are you bragging that the best Big 12 defense would be the 11th best SEC defense? Are you stupid?

My honest opinion gives it to Slider as he heads to professional baseball.

DISCLAIMER: I am not saying I like it because he did quit on us but I have to be honest.
