Clemson, Georgia are in. I believe ohio state is in. how do you put a 1 loss alabama non-conference champ in over a 1 loss conference champ ohio state, even if you think alabama is better?

does alabama get in over ND in that scenario? or do you think it's the ohio state that gets screwed?

Ohio State should have thought about that before they got blown out by Purdue.

What’s the purpose of the committee again?

People are setting themselves up just like last year thinking Bama won’t get in.

If they lose to UGA they will still be in.

Fact.

OU almost lost to Army. Didn’t they do OT? Lol And a loss to Texas is much worse than UGA.

And Ohio State is a joke thinking they even have a small shot.

Downvote away but I’m right as frick

Screwed themselves.

Committee has already said that Alabama and Clemson have separated themselves from the other teams.

No way they suddenly become just another bubble team if they lose. Unless it's a really really ugly loss.

Only way Ohio St gets in is if Oklahoma loses and Bama wins.

That arse beating Purdue gave them will keep them out.

OU being ahead of OSU really helps Bama out if UGA wins. No one would seriously look at defense free OU and claim that OU is better, whereas, if Ohio State were next in line, people would look back several years ago and say, this is a different OSU team from the one that lost to Purdue. Not sure that would be enough, but it would be a much tougher comparison.

There’s too much politics in football. They aren’t leaving out a 1 loss Big 10 or Big 12 conference champ. The outrage would be enormous. They only way the committee got away with it last year is because Ohio State had 2 losses. They made it plain as day that had they only had one they would have jumped Bama.

Your scenario would create some problems. You can't forget Oklahoma, either. Alabama might make it in, but they would have find a reason to leave Oklahoma and Ohio State out. ND having a good year is what is putting the pressure on the committee.

Understand what you are saying, and I fully expect Alabama to win tomorrow....but...if they lost, or Clemson lost, I think that would/might erase that separation.

I've been a bit puzzled by the media's take on Notre Dame. Listening to all of the pundits since Tuesday, there is a consensus that the Irish are a lock. I think if we see some great games in the conference championships this week, it could change the committee's perception a bit.

If Bama and UGA play a game like they did in 2012, how do you eliminate either one? They were clearly the best two teams in the country that week, and could be this week as well. The winner of that one had to play the Irish in the national championship game, but the national championship itself was really decided in Atlanta.

1 loss conference champ ohio state,

In this scenario, all you are doing is rewarding Ohio State for playing in a weak conference.

Both teams are 12-1

Alabama loses a game to #4 Georgia, we'll assume competitive. All of Bama's wins are by 22+

Ohio State is blown out by close to 40 points to Purdue. OSU also has 2-3 extremely ugly, close wins over bad teams.

OSU's Big Ten Championship is a trophy of dung.

And Notre Dame is probably the worst team of the 6 teams we are all talking about.

Notre Dame barely beat Vanderbilt.

Notre Dame's best win is vs Michigan (Michigan just got completely blown out by OSU)

Look at these Outstanding Notre Dame victories

19-14 vs 7-5 Pitt
24-16 vs 4-8 Ball State
22-17 vs 6-6 Vanderbilt
24-17 vs 5-7 USC

Not a very impressive resume.

They left out a 1-loss Big 12 conference champion in 2014.

Who are the best 4 teams in the country?...would any knowledgeable person say Alabama isn't 1 of the 4?
