74-72 was a greater game than even Kick Six.

Kick Six was truly phenomenal and had greater importance as a game in deciding the West champion, but it didn't have the amazingly long, drawn out, sustained drama of 74-72.

74-72 is a game, I think, that will be remembered as truly unique for it's long string of play after play after play of intense drama.

For me 74-72 isn't even close. Objective observers may disagree, but I doubt it.

This is closer to the Arkansas/ole Miss ot game.

I would much rather re-watch 74-72 than I would Kick 6.

In terms of the overall implications and magnitude of the game, the Kick 6 was much bigger.

However, if you take that away and look at just the game itself then 74-72 was far crazier and more improbable.

Maybe to people who were there. How much do you remember about Ole Miss-Arkansas 7 OT game?

My God! Texas AM fans are clamoring for attention after beating LSWHo.

Missouri has done more than TAMU since joining the conference so sit the frick down!

It wasn't just the 7 OTs, though. It was the game itself.
It was game for sure over...wait...game not over amazing!...wait...game probably over...he made the FG!...game not over....now game is probablty over....still not over!

It just went on and on and on, with both bruising physicality and amazing, highlight plays.

At least 74-72 was officiated fairly. The kick six was not and should have been called back

There have been five 7 OT games in NCAA football history (3 in the SEC) but only 1 Kick Six.

Ark 58 Ole Miss 56
Ark 71 KY 63

They are similar in the sustained melt by one team in each of those games. For 74-72, it was by the loser. LSU will be talking about that faked-fight, the refs, that one second, for years. Curiously with Kick Six it's the winning team that continues to melt down. Auburn will live off that single game for the rest of their lives.

I didn't even watch the 74-72 game so.... gonna have to disagree. Meaningless games will never surpass meaningful ones

Yeah a multi-overtime game to see who finished 2nd in the division is bigger than the most improbable ending in cfb history for a chance for a conference and a national title...good call

This is the appropriate perspective.

Nobody cares about Mizzou winning a down East twice and getting their doors blown off in Atlanta.

There really is no other way you get 7 OTs than what you described. By the end of next year, no one is going to remember this game but LSU and A&M fans. Kick 6 is going to be replayed for a long time because of what was at stake

the kick six game really wasn't that exciting except for the last play. This is one of the greatest games I've ever seen, even though there wasn't much on the line for either team.

Nah.
Kick Six still a better ending.
74/72 was getting to mind numbing status.
