Can UGA's questionable run defense handle the Jackets? This one might be too close for comfort this Saturday. Tech playing good ball now.

You mean the #4 run D in the SEC that held Snell to 73 yards? I think we’ll win by 10 + points.

They went to OT with UVA, not terribly worried.

Their best win was vs a VT who got kilt by Miami.

We win by 14+

I think the adjective “clean” should be removed until a certain team stops attacking knees.

I'm not too worried, but I'm only a fan. I hope our coaches and players are more worried than I am.

It’s takes an above average Tech team to even have a hope at beating a below average UGA.

No dice for them this year.

This one usually is. UGA is looking ahead. The triple option is a problem anyway. It could be ....interesting.

We had the SECCG in front of us last year and won 38-7.

They aren't stopping our offense. We'll score early and make the have to throw the ball to win.

What does Mississippi State have to do with this conversation?

Tech may bust off some good runs in the first half at best due to their scheme. The triple option can cause some issues for any team, but the overall talent discrepancy between the two teams will show in the 2nd half. Marshall will take a beating. I know option QBs are tougher I guess, but with it being this late in the season I can't imagine Tech's QB will relish getting hit by a quick defense. Tech's defense can't hang for a full 60 minutes.

UGA 39 Tech 13

The triple option is so old it's new to most of you, it's not to us. Between our yearly Tech and many a GASo game, it's something that is aggravating, but not foreign to us and we generally do quite well against it on the scoreboard.

Tech will have to play out of their minds to win. I imagine UGA has been prepping for this game since the Sunday after the DSOR. This is one of PJ’s better offenses IMO but the difference in talent will make this a blowout in the 2nd half. Why Tech continues to employ PJ is mind boggling given the state they’re in.

We started in the spring and devote time every Monday (since the season started) to it.

I think losing in 16 really pissed Kirby the frick off to the point that he'd do whatever is needed to not lose to them again

I'm not sure our run defense could be categorized as "questionable." What is your basis for that?
I expect Tech to bust off some long runs and make first downs because of their unusual scheme. But if they get down early, they're done. Tech can not pass the ball. One completed pass against Virginia. One offensive TD.
Anything can happen in a rivalry game. Every Georgia fan realizes that. But Tech should not pose a problem if Georgia is focused.
