Notre Dame is problematic for the SEC

If the Irish win out, that may mean
a 12-1 Bama or Georgia are out.
I am assuming an undefeated or one loss Big Ten Chanp Ohio State is untouchable, as is an undefeated Clemson.
Imagine if your Georgia, and you go 12-1, having lost a 1 point epic SEC Championship Game to #1 Alabama, and you don’t make it in.

Just looked at their schedule and no way Notre Dame loses twice, they will be in. Only SEC Champ gets in this year. It is what it is.

Why is this problematic? Win and youre in

Your way off on Notre Dame having to lose twice. If Notre Dame loses ONCE, they are out.

UGA crushes Vandy after Notre Dame squeaks by.
I understand "win and you're in" but the optics should show UGA as the better team.

I have been around a long time and if you don't realize that Notre Dame has to lose twice, before the SEC gets 2 in, then you probably haven't.

I don’t care if your methuselah, Notre Dame with one loss will not be in the top 4.

You're a naive fool.

You’d know that essentially you’re in a “play in” game.

I would have a bigger beef with Clemson getting in tbh, at least based on schedule

Whatever. Clemson likely isn't going undefeated.

That would remind me of 2012.

But you make a good point that I agree with. To get two in this year there would have to be several conference champions with 2 losses. However, I could see the PAC 12 and BIG 12 getting shut out. All we can hope for is ND to get beat badly by a bad team.

Okay........

I don’t mind it. I’d love to see ND get embarrassed on the biggest stage.

They will do their dead level best to get ND into the playoffs. However, they could get beaten badly by a nobody team and that could keep them out. Maybe.

Lord I can only hope that the Irish get in so that we can see a repeat of the last time bama played them. What a great game that was.

Why wouldn’t a 1 loss ND deserve a playoff spot over a 1 loss Georgia?

I'd have to agree especially if it's late in season

Notre Dame is more of a problem for the Big 12 than it is for the SEC. West Virgina is undefeated and if both of those teams win out, WVU is the more likely of the two to get shafted if Clemson, Ohio State, and Alabama/Georgia all finish undefeated.
