Hypothetical
LSU wins out, loses to UGA in SECCG 12-1
UGA only loss to LSU during season 12-1
Bama only loss to LSU during season 11-1

Who gets left out if not?

7nette you all right man but I'm thinking ... no chance of that happening?

UGA has 2 losses then, so UGA out.

Each team would only have 1 loss

Honestly LSU would probably get left out, even though we would arguably be the most deserving of the three teams.

Georgia would be a lock, under that scenario. Alabama would be ahead of LSU in the pecking order, but it would depend on what happened with the other conferences if they got in or not.

LSU gets left out. UGA is the conference champ, Bama is the King, and everybody knows

Oh, if we are being serious, then LSU gets in over Bama by virtue of head to head, and strength of schedule. UGA and LSU would be in.

The only way that could happen is if LSU looses to Bama during the season and beats UGA. UGA plays Bama in SECCG and wins, giving Bama one loss: SECCG; UGA loss to LSU on road and SEC champs; LSU one loss: Bama, but win over #8 Miami, #7 Auburn @ JH, #22 UF @ Swamp , #13 MSU, #2 UGA, eventual SEC Champ.

The chances of this happening, NEVER. But here's to dreams.

Would love to see this happen. Chaos / controversy just adds to the fun of CFB season.
I think for it to happen every P5 champ would have to have at least 1 loss.
Also, I think the better scenario would be Ga beat LSU at home and goes undefeated in regular season, with LSU winning out, including rematch for the SEC championship. Would need all 3 losses to be close (1 score) games. LSU and UGA both winning on the road would look better I think. LSU gets in as 1 loss SEC champ. 11-1 UGA gets in for winning all regular season games and only loss being in championship to a team they already beat on the road. And Bama gets in b/c everyone knows they’re the best team which only lost 1 game to SEC champ on the road.

Never happen, but would be awesome if it did.

No.

Calm down on LSU. That offense is very inconsistent. Probably not gonna have a drive again this season where u get 3 pass interference calls on one drive.

Sometimes it's just your day.

Depends on how the SEC championship goes and how Clemson and Ohio State do.

If Clemson struggles and LSU loses in a close SEC championship game, I feel like Clemson could get left out. They showed last year that they want the best 4 teams in.

LSU 100% gets left out in the scenario.

And yes Louisiana may burn to the ground.

But remember Alabama was NOT in the SECCG last year, but was in the playoffs.

There's a significant chance Clemson and Oklahoma go undefeated

Who would have thought that Clemson's best chance to lose would be at Boston College

The problem with these scenarios is that it involves LSU making a college football playoff...Not a snowball's chance in hell that will ever happen.

If by struggles, you mean wins every game, but doesn't win convincingly... No, Clemson would not be left out to a third team from the SEC.

The more interesting scenario would be...

undefeated Alabama
Undefeated Clemson
1 loss Ohio State (wins Big 10)
1 loss Oklahoma (wins Big 12)
1 loss UGA (loses SEC championship)

Does UGA get in over Ohio State or Oklahoma?

yes, but it came down to Bama or tOSU a one loss non conference champ vs a two loss conference champ who even got blown out in one of those losses, but had a harder schedule
in op's scenario, it would be a one loss non champ vs a one loss champ who won a head to head matchup vs the the other team , and had a tougher schedule, there is no logical reason to put Bama over LSU in this scenario, LSU in and Bama out in this case

True, LSU has the head to head AND better wins in the scenario, but also the most recent loss. Would likely depend on where Bama and UGA was ranked during the SECCG.
