Stallings won 70 games in 7 years (when the regular season was 11 games).

So that 1 year is just a tad inaccurate.

I wear an Alabama shirt because I graduated from there. My husband wears an Alabama shirt because he's been a fan since childhood, but instead of college, he enlisted in the military. Screw you.

I know a number of Ole Miss fans who didn't attend the school.

Gene Stallings went 70-16-1, 43-10-1 in the SEC, won a national title and finished ranked in the Top 5 3 seperate seasons (1991, 1992, 1994). He won 10+ games 4 times. He finished ranked in the Top 15 5 times in 7 seasons. He lost more than 2 SEC games 1 time in 7 seasons.

Gene Stallings would be the greatest coach in the history of about 75% of SEC schools.

Red Sox have been huge for decades and certainly were very popular 15 years ago as a playoff team with Manny Ramirez, Nomar, Pedro and other well known and liked players.

Well I cannot disagree with you, I put effort into them.

With that being said though, got to have some fun here. It is what makes this place better than the OMSpirit.

Bama fans are very good at talking some trash as well

Younguns don't seem to understand that pre-2004 the Red Sox were basically the Cubs. Everyone felt bad for them and they had fans EVERYWHERE. They always found ways to lose, they were the logical anti-Yankee choice, etc.

No disrespect to any Bama fan with actual ties to the great state of Alabama. But, it is utterly obnoxious when crossing a Tide fan that happens to be a Yankee’s fans and a Patriot fan and Lakers/Bulls/Miami/Cleveland/Golden Gate fan.

frickin losers.

Came across this the other day

ETA: And why does it have to be a Tide fan that's also a fan of all the other great teams? Like the Alabama fan in him MAKES him so douchey that he also likes all the other great teams How about that's just a loser that has nothing to do with Alabama or their fans

If that truck had an LSU sticker instead I wouldn't be thinking, "ew omg LSU fans are so lame because they like all the good teams!!!" I would just think the guy was a loser.

Most of this board is too young to remember Alabama fans pre-Saban. We were way more obnoxious. We hadn't accomplished hardly anything in 15 years so all we talked about was the Barrr, our tradition being better than yours, and our national title numbers that somehow grew in number to 12 without actually winning any more of them. At least now our every claim to greatness is rooted in absolute fact.
________________________________

Bama fans pre Saban overall were not obnoxious. We gave credit where it was due. Congratulated fans upon win or loss. We were very gracious, we acted like we've been there before but understood that was a very long time ago. We have become way less classy with all these trash talking bandwagon fans lately.

The state of Alabama has nothing to look forward to other than Saturdays in Auburn or Tuscaloosa so you can't really blame the ones who didn't go to the school.

You have a pretty low bar for success. I was originally registered here as just bamajane (back during “As the Plains Burn” time, I think) & admittedly had few posts, but you’re further down the list than you think. You should seek validation on something other than a message board. Screw you.
