I'm a 53 year old woman. My only experience consists of playing flag football as a college freshman & raising a football-playing son, but I would have done a better job at trying to tackle that guy.

I hate these kinds of broad stroke, negative assumptions. Same with the term "sidewalk fan." They're both ignorant positions by ignorant people. My husband served five years in the Navy and immediately entered the workforce after that. We were married and started a family shortly thereafter. Does that de-legitimize him as a fan?

You have a pretty low bar for success. I was originally registered here as just bamajane (back during “As the Plains Burn” time, I think) & admittedly had few posts, but you’re further down the list than you think. You should seek validation on something other than a message board. Screw you.

I wear an Alabama shirt because I graduated from there. My husband wears an Alabama shirt because he's been a fan since childhood, but instead of college, he enlisted in the military. Screw you.
