These are the Bama fans I remember
Every freaking pre-season magazine had those blondes plastered all over the cover
And that damn RV armada that would roll into town on Tuesday or Wed of Bama game week. Had to be 200 of them. I'm pretty sure they invented the car magnet industry
I remember the drunk threesome I had with them after a Bama defeat. Good times.

No, that time between Stallings and Saban you guys were very quiet compared to now.
I do not remember that narrative existing in 2004 but glad to see it now I guess

Living in the Oxford area, I'd argue that your anecdotal blanket statement is very likely not the truest statement ever. Plenty of t-shirt UM fans walking around outside the confines of Univeristy, MS.
That said, I do see how that perception could grow. But it ignores that the state Alabama has a 63% larger population than Mississippi, UM has a 25% higher admission rate than UA, and instate tuition at UM is 37% less expensive than UA. So, a state school with a smaller state population, that is less selective for entry, and less expensive may produce the appearance of a higher proportion of fans that were alumni. That, and the large % of that smaller population that favors MSU in the state creating the perception of even a higher per capita alumni fanbase.
But, as you walk around Oxford and the Grove tomorrow, there will be plenty of UM fans walking around that never stepped foot in a classroom on campus.

That card looks like an

So, 10 or so years from now.
You guys will be 18U by then.

quote:it is actually a rendition commemorating one of the University Greys that returned home to Oxford after the Civil War only to find out he'd been cucked. Coincidentally, it started a university tradition of their Warriors (student athletes) going off and coming home to find out they too have been cucked... In more ways than one.

"The Fighting Cuckolds" never got a fair shake in the mascot vote.

Sport Alabama has carried the SEC on his backs since the 60's. It is documented for you.
That 7 in a row got you down and I can understand that.
Oh and any fan in the state of Mississippi making lite of any school is large. I mean C'Mon Man.
Miss State fans are closer to a NC than Ole Missy....about 85 miles

That's how most teams go.
15 years ago there were no Patriot or Red Sox Fans either.
Now Look.
Yankees fans are back out of the woodwork after their 5 year slumber.

Yes however Alabama has so many more though it's crazy. Get out more and pay attention and look. They have a certain look about them too. Like from a really middle income mobile home park, car has 1 window broken that doesn't roll up, front qtr panel primed and ready to paint and you can't tell whether it's a married couple or a really close brother and sister because of the resemblance

Back when Alabama was losing nobody gave a frick if I wore my Bama shirt, now it pisses everybody off. And I’m happy about that.
