Is Ty Storey an atrocious practice player or something?

What is it about him that now 2 coaches have started Cole Kelley over him when it look like he's far better?

He looks more calm in the pocket than Cole

Not sure, some guys are gamers. Hopefully this breeds confidence in the coaches in Ty, and in turn gives him more in himself

When you look at ththe 2 you can tell Kelley has ththe bigger arm and looks more like what you want. Probably a step or 2 faster as well. So both coaching staff really want him to be the guy. But it is clear as day that he just doesn't have it mentally. Storey is a much better quarterback

I'm not sure Cole can throw downfield. For a big guy, his throws often lack velocity.

I was pulling my hair out in the first quarter wondering why we weren't throwing more vertical passes.

This is a myth. Not sure if it's based on his size, number or natural comparisons to Mallett, but the belief that he's this rocket arm is fallacy.

Then Storey comes in and drops bombs. That says plenty.

Storey is a winner

he's waited patiently for the Allen brothers to pass through and now it's likely his

None of us know the thoughts of Dan Enos per Ty or Cole, but I think Cole has plenty of upside as well

We have two good QB's

The dude can throw 70+ yards. It is no myth he has the biggest arm period. He has accuracy issues though.

He's been floating passes like crazy, and he did it last year. I'm not knocking the kid, but the belief that he's Ryan Mallett 2.0 is pure fiction thus far solely based off his size and number.

That has nothing to do with arm strength, he has piss poor footwork.

He had a pretty deep pass against South Carolina last year but haven’t seen much of that since then

Yep, he has a much bigger arm than Storey. His problem comes with scaling back the velocity on his throws too much or too little, he's in his own head too much.
