I kind of like it. The rooster was kind of hard to tell what it was, if you didn't already know what it was.

They are not even the real Carolina team... that would go to UNC.
Agree with others that it looks like they pasted a baseball team's logo on the helmet.
I would stick with the Gamecock logo... it's pretty unique on the national stage... even if, as another poster said, it looks like a beta fish.

The helmets they had last year were perfect.
Three helmets, same design, same logo, just different colors. All three were beautiful. Needless change.

If you are talking to your buddies about sports and someone says... did random college x play Carolina last night? If you surveyed people and asked which team they were talking about it won't be NC State, Clemson or South Carolina... it's UNC. It's just been part of their brand for longer. The shorthand for the South Carolina Gamecocks sports teams are Gamecocks or South Carolina... It's that simple.
