Following Smart's press conference, sources told UGASports and other media outlets that White did indeed tear the ACL in his left knee and will miss the season.

That is horrible.

Hate that for that kid.

Hard work should not result in this kind of stuff but bad stuff happens. You have to scrimmage some in the fall.

Non contact. Some guys have weaker ligaments. I hope that's not the case here. Some times rehab can make them stronger than before injury. Sometimes...Lattimore. I'm hoping for the former.

Man I hope his situation ends up more like Thomas Davis over Lattimores especially so close to the season starting. Rough news.

Sad for the kid. Maybe he can make it back to 100%. It’s been done before at UGA.

This is why you recruit 5-stars when you already have 5-stars. That way you don’t get in a situation like Auburn last season.

That Lattimore injury was the most sickening injury I've ever seen in person

I still clinch when I replay Lattimore's injury in my head. The very definition of catastrophic.

We need him next season. Hope he heals up and comes out and shines next year.

This season we have depth but you never want to lose a kid this talented

Football is a cruel game. Hate it for the kid but hopefully he'll take a RS and bounce back next year.

Have lost a starter/probable first round draft choice and the top backup, both OLBs and the season is still 2 weeks away.

I'm not saying his wasn't bad, because it was, just that Prothros almost made me puke.

You can Google it yourself, just nasty.

Apparently he was doing punt return coverage? Not sure why Kirby thought that was a good idea 8 months off a ACL injury

Sucks for White.

LSU didn’t lose anyone today thank god, but I’m hearing the offense looked loss out there.

Actually, Lewis was the top OLB backup, though the probably the most talented pass rusher along with Jennings. Allen was #3 backup.

Kirby plays starters on special teams. He played Sony on special teams last year. Kirby doesn’t believe in simply plugging in third stringers for kick coverage. There both pros and cons to this. I would bet our running backs aren’t going to be getting ST duty for the foreseeable future.

He was practicing at the gunner position and got hurt in a non-contact injury. Malcom Mitchell did something similar just jumping in the air. It happens and there's nothing anyone can really do to prevent it. Just shite luck

He has been full go to practice with contact all Fall camp. This was his left ACL, right one is what he tore in HS
