For A&M, Quartney Davis was a highly ranked WR recruit who had an injury and, for his first two years, didn't look to be a guy who was going to contribute, but is showing out so far in camp and is running with the 1's. Jalen Preston is a true freshmen who I think it is going to play for as a lot in the slot.

Who on your team is going to be somebody who exceeds expectations?

Edit: As Farmer1906 says later in the thread, I should have mentioned Jace Sternberger, a TE who transferred in from Northeastern OK and has been killing it ever since he got here in the spring.

Offense - outside of trendy pick of Burrow I'll go with the freshman JaMar Chase at WR

Defense - Chaisson, dude is about to make people think sophomore Arden Key is back at LSU again rushing the passer

Austin Williams or Stephen Guidry. Both at WR for State.

Agreed. Quartney Davis will breakout this year in a big way for A&M. Although, I don't think his play will necessarily exceed expectations that we had for him when he was recruited. He was a top 3 WR in the state a couple years ago.

A guy that I would LIKE to see breakout is Rashaud Paul at slot WR/PR. This would keep some of the younger wr/backs off the field so they can mentally prepare themselves before having to contribute.

We can throw Whop in there too. Anything is a breakout performance compared to last season.

If I had to guess, i would say Elijah Holyfield. He'll get a lot more touches than in the past, and he seems primed to make a big wave.

I kind of doubt it if Swift and White are healthy, tbh

I thought about that, but I don't think White will begin to get big time touches until midway through the season. (Just my opinion) If Holyfiled is doing well, I think they will work White in even slower.

Besides, I can't think of anybody else who could break out for us, tbh.
Isaiah Wilson, maybe?

Offense:
WR Nate Brown, replacing some of Jmon Moore production, but we are returning almost our entire offense this fall. He will be our chain mover. 4* that battled injuries out of Georgia.

Defense:
DE Tre Williams, best of the DE grouping, 4* out of Columbia, expect to have a big season.

Honorable Mention: Safety Tyree Gillispie, Safety Khalil Oliver

Oh, for sure. I should have mentioned him. If he keeps up his practice production, he's going to be a monster.
