The first one looks like the house in jumanji after they've played a few rounds

Two of those look like something you'd have to wait in line at to get a loaf of bread, or turn in your siblings for propaganda

The newer construction ones would be nice if this were 2002

Oh, and a sidewalk

ETA: holy shite is that a giant class ring?? Hahahaha

IDK McComas may rival Dorman.

McCool is a really nice building as well. Lee also is classic.

Hello comrade

I don't care what anyone says, I love our concrete brutalist architecture.

I share Blocker's tears at the decadent Western buildings popping up everywhere.

Long Field HOuse was renovated and does not look like that picture.

The good news for us LSU grads is that both Lockett and Middleton Library are to be demolished and replaced by buildings in the northern Italian style.

Ugliest - Turlington Hall:

Hard to pick the prettiest. So many choices. Went with Sledd Hall:

I'll add Mullins Library to the beautiful list:

We also have some old, down-right ugly dorms on campus:

Yocum:

Gladsen-Ripley Hall:
Yes.... that's window units you see hanging out the backside.

but that is countered by the new off campus student living and some of the new apartment/dorms being built on campus-
Founders Hall:

New dorms being built by Bud Walton (Stadium Drive Residence Hall):

Best is the buildings of Swalm Chemical Engineering bldg / Lee Hall. They are mirror images of each other and face each other on the drill field.

Worst: no doubt. Hunter Henry center

To me the Hunter Henry looks like a knock-off of the Guggenheim Museum:

uggliest building is easily the tin gym. i mean it is literally a barracks but not as nice. the one right next to it is ugly as crap too which when SEC network or gameday show up they have that as their background. infuriates me.

I agree with you on the Haley Center...hideous.

One of the more underrated buildings on campus is the Ross Chemistry building.

And I think the most beautiful building is our most iconic...Samford Hall.

I hate to break it to you, but those new modern looking dorms (Stadium Drive Residence Hall) are not going to age any better. They are going to look just as bad as the others in 20 years.

I really dislike when Universities with a beautiful, classic architecture go avant-garde with construction.

LSU did it with the new business college:

And nearly did it again with its engineering building before the design was scrapped for a more traditional look in keeping with the rest of campus:

Proposed Original Plans. This is horrible and would have stuck out like sore thumb:

New Plans and Actual, much better and in keeping with the rest of the architecture of campus:

And for all those who don't know, this is what it used to look like. It was like something straight out of Cold War Russia, or A&M's campus. It was so ugly, I had a hard time finding pics of it -- no one wanted to photograph it, or LSU scrubbed the internet of them
