Dude, Pruit is a soy bean farmer just like Ed O is a shrimp boat captain
Difference is, Orgeron seems like a pretty nice dude. I think most people would love to have a beer with him.
Pruitt on the other hand is an abrasive douche bag.

Agreed. The Shrimp Boat Cap'n > The Soy Farmer.
I'm just glad our fat daft pig farmer is gone. I'll take the Math Nerd.

Heres a question: Is Phil actually doing his duties for the rest of UT athletics? Or is he just ignoring them and focusing on football?

Damn. Fat Phil is on to Agent Eyebrow.

UT's got big problems as long as Phil's around. All that powder keg needs is a spark.

I liked the "reality" that Pruitt brought to uga.
Small victories (weight room, practice, grades, recruiting ) were not victories in his eyes because they were not victories on the field. That was one of the differences between Richt (who would give superlative awards at the end of spring practice).
Agree or disagree (ADs and the beat writers like positive "small victory" stories to keep a feel good vibe for the program). The proof will be in the pudding. If pruitt doesn't turn the ship, no one likes the unlikable guy. And the unlikable guy doesn't get the benefit of the doubt (i.e. he doesnt get a longer leash).

Fulmer is the cancer at TN...

Fat Phil is 67 now. By the time he can undermine Germy he'll be pushing 70. Does he honestly think he could take over at that age?

As any AD at a school where football is the cash cow he will focus on getting that turned in the right direction....Just hired a baseball coach last year that seems to be a good one....On paper it looks like Fulmer hired a good golf coach this past Spring...Men's basketball is in good hands right now and the softball team is in pretty good shape with the Weekly's. The only thing I would like to see him do is fire the women's basketball coach, Holly Warlick's arse because she will never get the job done and can't coach a lick. Her contract is up this coming Spring and Fulmer hasn't given her a raise or extension yet...so that's a positive I guess.

I thought he did, too.

He answers questions with a directness that (a) would make Butch pass out and (b) lets everyone know that he has a confidence in his knowledge of football that he's fine with mixing up a couple of syllables and some subject-verb agreement. (Know who else does that? Saban, aight.)
He's not the smoothest talker, but you pay him to coach, not talk. And, for it to be his first time, I thought he did very well.
All that still doesn't cover up if he is already butting heads with Fulmer, though. That is not a great sign, since he is still supposed to be in the honeymoon portion of his HC career. He seems to be they type thta everybody around him needs a year or two to get a feel of where he is coming from. Once he settles in, he will be okay.

Phatimus Maximus (aka The Great Pumpkin, aka Tennessee Fats, aka....I could do this all day) has given me a reason to hate UT again. Their irrelevance made my hatred for them somewhat stagnant as they are a guaranteed W year in year out at this present time. Things just feel right when I'm hating Tennessee proper.
Fulmer and Pruitt going at it was as predictable as OM cheating again. Everyone knew it was going to happen. It was only a matter of time. Let Pruitt lose a few games, it'll get very interesting.

Bill Snyder is still coaching, and he's gotta be at least 127 years old.
