Love him as a commentator and analyst. Definitely found his calling and he does it damn good.

I think he resigned. Cited desire to spend more time with his family (which I think is genuine - I believe they were still living in Auburn).

I think McElroy just is harsher in his assessments at times which is abrasive. Chizik is a bit of a sunshine pumper (which as a former coach is expected).

I always have liked Gene. He seems to keep a level head and is up front an honest about stuff. McElroy isn't bad. I think he's a little more aggressive but could be an age thing. I bet he'll ease up as he gets older and is still in the business. I loved the heck out of his show with Spiers. That shite was funny!

He and his family love Auburn. It would be hilarious (and I think it would be a great hire) if Steele were to ever leave and Gus bring Chiz on as DC. He know how to coach a defense

I dont think he was a bad fit. I think it was bad timing. Personally, I think he could be a good head coach. He probably learned a bunch and hopefully, he gets another chance
If you dont think he did not do a good job at AU in 2010 keeping that team focused and on track, you are crazy.
