He isnt a ncg winning coach if Alabama wins that iron bowl imo. Jimbo is the most smug pos. It is no wonder his wife was fricking around on him. Also how does he do that bad at fsu last year. Fsu had better players than everyone except bama and equal to clemson. Aggy is so dumb for paying this douche after last year's train wreck in Tallahassee

I'm still trying to figure out why everyone thinks he's a QB guru.

He had Randy Sanders on his staff working with his QBs...that is the guy I think will eventually hold the moniker of QB guru. He worked under Cutcliffe at UT, the job he did with Andre Woodson at Kentucky was amazing and he made Mike Hartline a freakin 3,000+ yard passer there. Then, of course, Sanders first year at FSU was when Winston came onto the scene.

Easy....a bad offensive line and a second string QB that was nowhere near ready to take over as the starter...

Excelled these guys in college...

Rohan Davey, (made Marcus Randall serviceable) Matt Mauck, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, turned Christian Ponder into a first round pick, turned EJ Manuel into a first round pick...all of his QBs improve and make strides under him.

He knows what he is doing at the QB position.

When he left LSU...Les Miles couldn't get a QB in there and couldn't develop one. Transfer Mettenberger the exception in seven years.

That 2013 Florida State team scored more points than any college football team in history. And they didn’t run a hurry up.

He developed Gabe Gross so well as a QB he quit to focus on baseball didn't he?

Bama gets blown out in the game imo. Be glad Auburn put you out of your missery.

That 2013 FSU team was so loaded that I think they would have beaten Alabama. That would have been the one Alabama opponent since about 2010 where you could look at the rosters and say Alabama would have had less talent. FSU would have also had an obvious QB advantage as well. Keep in mind that 2013 Clemson finished 11-2 and ranked #7. One of their losses was at home to FSU 51-14. That 2013 FSU team was great.

Very good points. Overall, an objective, reasoned, and dispassionate take. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone forgets he was the QB Coach at AU for 6 years. He is very good at developing QBs and it goes back to his days at Samford.
