Bama would have destroyed FSU in the NCG. Given 4 weeks to prepare, FSU had no chance.

We'll see how he manages an SEC schedule week to week.

That 2013 FSU team was so loaded that I think they would have beaten Alabama.

The championship game was over. We dominated them most of the game. The kick off return killed us but in the end, a ticky tack PI penalty after we stopped them at the end finished us off.

Auburn was better than FSU that day, we just didnt win the game

It happens

The issue has for ATM has been their defense. Until they tune it up where they can last until late October and November it's going to be the same we've seen.

Their defense also sacked up in the second half after getting gutted early in that game

Considering that Alabama lost by 14 in the Sugar Bowl to a less than great OU team, why do you think they would have beaten FSU in that championship game?

And the Auburn Alabama game would have gone into OT even without the Kick 6. There's no guarantee that the Tide would have won in
OT.

Your post is oddly presumptuous.

Bama's D was sucking air at that point.

Scoring D @ FSU
2017 - 29th
2016 - 44th
2015 - 9th
2014 - 50th
2013 - 1st
2012 - 6th

Scoring D for Elko
2017 - 21st (ND)
2016 - 23rd (WF)
2015 - 43rd (WF)
2014 - 60th (WF)
2013 - 5th (BG)
2012 - 10th (BG)

Jimbo, while obviously not a defensive coach, has usually had at least a good defense. He recruits talent and runs an offense that helps the defense. Elko had a solid history of good defenses as well and he's done it at places that weren't loaded like FSU was. The combo of the two makes you think the defense won't be bad.

Absolutley, they played better. But we took a 5 point lead with 1.17 left in the game. They had to have a TD. No way you lose that game. The one big miss by our DB and the PI call saved them. They stepped up but we still had the game won. Just didnt finish it

He is good at getting qbs who look the part for pro ball. Someone like Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez or EJ Manuel those guys aren't good quarterbacks but they look and sound the part. Jimbo is smart enough to recruit quarterbacks that NFL GM's are suckers for.

Harbaugh is the best coach in college at having quarter backs make strides in terms of pro development.

This is true . His Qbs have been mediocre to awful in the NFL . His best QB , Winston has just been above average . But maybe he is just good at making garbage look good . Will be interested to see what he can do with a real NFL talent QB .

Poor A&M, having to live vicariously thru FSU. When are we going to be able to hear from a A&M fan about their own experience is a championship setting ?

It had more to do with Gus sitting on the lead, but I wouldn't expect you to know that since you've shown us you're by far the least knowledgeable poster on this site when it comes to schemes, play calling, and game management. Go back to the poli board where you belong.

That's important. AU had an issue with that a few years ago with Gus and the HUNH; a few quick three and outs and our gassed, sub-par defense was back on the field way too much.

Aggie is going to score points, but like I said, the teams that make it to the end have a defense that can go 10-11 solid games.

Meh. Im not blaming him. One missed tackle made the last drive for them 60 yards on that one play. Im sure Ellis didnt teach that

It was on the player that missed the tackle. He did not get to the Natty not being taught right.

Once the PI gave them 1st and goal on the 2, it was over. We had already stopped them 4 times inside the 15 yard line.
