He comes from a family of wealth so money is no object to him as our beat writer noted last year when he came back. He has a chance to be the SEC all-time hitter should he return next year. I know last year he made it public that unless the money was there, he was coming back to Msu for "unfinished business."
This is a strange ordeal. He has great hand / eye coordination, a top outfielder with speed and a great base stealer. You guys think he let it known he wants to come back for that Sec hitting title?

So what happened? Why is his draft tanking?

I'm guessing he let teams know he's coming back. He would've been drafted by now if he was going

Holy shite this guy has to be 30 by now.

It'll be HUGE to get Small and Mangum both back.

I'm thinking the same thing. He is a good kid that doesn't get in trouble and as coaches say, he works harder to be perfect. So he has the good work ethics going for him too. Only thing I can think of is MLB knows he is planning on coming back.

I agree. Small is by far our best pitcher. Who knows, they might like what it returning next year and want to make a run post season before going pro. That would be awesome.

That's what LSU has done before. We've got a great chance to have a special year next year especially if we hire a big name coach.

Must've put the word out and teams backed off

I thought a group of players for LSU decided to come back last year to win the CWS? I'm probably just confused though.

Didn't Kramer get drafted his junior year?

Didn't realize it until earlier, but he is John Mangum's son.

32nd round by St. Louis.
Greg Diechman 26th round. (Went 43rd overall in 2017)
Poche in the 14th was the only threat to leave and he returned.

LSU has more big draft recruits who sign and stay than any program I know of. Plus they always have kids who come back and ignore the draft. This does not happen often for MSU but LSU has branded it's name in college baseball and some kids who come from money want to win a natty then go pro.

His bat no like the curve ball. Maybe you should introduce him to Jobu.

Leave it to an Ole Miss fan to pull that garbage. Classless.
