This is based upon actual losses on the field... not losses via retroactive forfeits/vacated games due to sanctions (AP Poll era).

Longest losing streaks among active members

21 South Carolina 1998-1999
17 Alabama 1954-1956
16 Vanderbilt 1961-1962
13 Florida 1945-1947
12 Kentucky 1994-1995
12 Texas A&M 1947-1948

Longest losing streak in school history for each SEC School

Alabama: 17
Arkansas: 10
Auburn: 10
Florida: 13
Georgia: 6
Kentucky: 12
LSU: 8
Mississippi St: 11
Missouri: 10
Ole Miss: 7
South Carolina: 21
Tennessee: 6
Texas A&M: 12
Vanderbilt: 16

Thoughts:
-Georgia and Tennessee... wow, must be nice to have Vandy/Kentucky on the schedule each year. I KID (kind of)! Calm down.
-Ole Miss and LSU are also looking strong with single digit streaks.

*BONUS*
-Tennessee is currently on a 9 game conference losing streak. This is the longest in school history, and currently the longest active conference losing steak in the SEC.

During South Carolina's epic losing streak from 1998-1999, they sold out every home game. Which is why I fricking love you guys.

Ole Miss's low number is surprising.

Johnny Majors 1988, lost the first 6 games of the season, then would go on to win the next 10 straight, and 16 of the next 17.

I'd be curious what the longest one for Alabama would be outside of the Ears Whitworth era.

That said, his ineptitude led to Coach Bryant coming back, so...

A forfeit counts as a loss, a vacated win is not a loss

Ironic coming from a Bama fan... Don't know your own history very well? Typical

How strange, I thought Bama claimed national titles in 1954, 1955, and 1956.
