Only a handful of teams have won a championship in the last 20 years.

Win? Probably not, but hopefully we get a shot at one.

How many times is the only question for Bama fans. Over under there is probably 4

Other teams

Definite
Georgia
LSU
Florida

Possible
Auburn
Texas A&M
South Carolina

Everyone else I'd say has no shot

Bama's made an appearance in every CFP so far, I feel pretty good about Alabama's chances.

Well even if you go back the past 20 or even 40 years it's for the most part the same teams. It's a league of haves and have nots. Sure you have some teams sneak in and win a title here and there like a Ga Tech, Colorado, Washington, BYU etc but it's harsee for that to happen with the playoffs.

The same schools will continue to win the titles. Alabama, Michigan, OSU and ND will be back. Even if you look at the top 25 from the last 40 years pre season it seems it's the same teams at the exact same ranking. So no I don't think their will be a miraculous change somehow and my team starts winning titles. We might play for one though. You gotta dream

LSU UGA A&M and UF all have a chance if they land a coach who can put it all together. Those states put out enough talent for at least one Championship. Teams that aren’t lucky enough to be situated in a talent hot bed, idk

20 years or 20 months?

I think Bama will have 2 NCs in the next 20 months.

No, but I do envision another couple of seasons like 2014. In contention all the way till the end, just to crush our dreams in traditional Mississippi State fashion.

20 years? That's too much. Even Vandy could be a contender by then.

20 year AGO, Florida State, Miami and Nebraska were kings, Alabama was still relevant before sinking into it's long dark era, Washington, Colorado, Georgia Tech were still a relatively recent champions. UCF was barely in the FBS, three season removed from playing teams like Maine, Bethune Cookman and Carson Newman. Tennessee was the freaking NATIONAL CHAMPION. 20 year pretty much anything can happen.

Might as well cancel football season, Mardi gras, Christmas, New Year's, mother's day cause State is your 2018 national champion

Honestly, 20 years is too long of a time period. So much can change during that time. Who would have predicted the emergence of Miami in 1963? Who in 1976 was saying Florida would eventually be a national powerhouse? Who could have predicted LSU in 1983? Definitely not me.

To be honest, I do not see LSU winning a championship under the current coaching staff. Therefore, I would have to answer "no" to you question. But then again, I doubt we have the same coaching staff in 20 years, so it is difficult to say.

Without a doubt. We’ll win 1-2, maybe more.

If you accomplish that then you'll be in the CFP and would have a team that could win it.

2 or 3

Boom has us rolling, and the thought of the Taters and their tainted titles due to pick plays will belong forgotten.

I don't think MSU will win it, no. We don't have the dedication or the resources that it takes.

I'm OK with this. I honestly don't think I could handle going out like UGa did last year. I would sell everything and move to some SE Asia shanty-town where they've never heard of CFB.

I will be realistic and say that I don't think Arkansas will. I think we could probably win tWest and possibly tSEC (in the future). I think beyond that, it would be very hard to navigate to become eventual National Champions. How do you feel about the future of your program?
I feel pretty good about the future and I believe we will make the CFP one year but ultimately lose a close game to the eventual National champion. Such is life as a Razorback.
