Crazy stat about Alabama's dominance

When thinking about the most dominant teams in sports, especially collegiate sports, a lot of people will automatically think of the UConn Women's Basketball team.
Over the last nine years, UConn has won the exact same number of National Championships as Alabama's football team.
The job Saban has done in Tuscaloosa is absolutely remarkable, and I'm not sure that we will ever see anything like it again.

He’s the John Wooden of college football.

I think many of us who are Tide fans take Alabama's success for granted. I'm 65 and in my lifetime I've seen Alabama win 12 National Championships. The exception is when Alabama doesn't win it every few years. They've never let me down and my fandom is a treasure.

I feel sorry for other fan bases. Not really. We the best ever!

Hard to believe South Carolina is both the last SEC team to win a National Title in WBB and the last East team to beat Alabama.

We've been gloating about it for a long time. While we know it won't last forever we're sure enjoying it.

Amen brother..
I too am part of that club..... and look to add to it...
I have to be truthful, Alabama is winning NC at such a rapid pace that I have even stopped talking about it. I am enjoying the heck out of it though.....

They got a name for the winners in the world
I want a name when I lose
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide
Call me Deacon Blues
The younger folks in here will probably be wondering WTF but the old timers will recognize it.
The point is Alabama has had a winning tradition for a long time and the rest of us are chasing. And despite what that dude said in another thread, I seriously doubt they ever get tired of it. I wouldn't

Pretty cool...I've been alive for 11 of 'em (born a week after the '61 season came to an end) and can remember watching 9 of those teams...been a pretty good ride...

I've been around for all twelve, if not for a missed call against Georgia on the flea flicker would have seen thirteen

Actually, that was 1965, and Alabama did win the NC that year.....

Alabama football has six national titles in my life and I’m not even 30

Tim Tebow in 08.
Or the Kick 6.
Or Deshaun Watson in 16.
Hell, even Zeke Elliot in 14.
As crazy as the Saban run has been, it’s even more insane when you consider how close he gets in the years when he hasn’t won it all.
2007 and 2010 are the only years Alabama entered December outside of the top five. 2010 was the last time Alabama lost multiple games in the regular season.
Saban has lost multiple regular season games only twice in eleven seasons.

This is the craziest part of it all. You can go back through the seasons in your head based on winning the natty or just missing (usually with some iconic play or game). Obviously there are some other loses in there, but that 2010 team was the only one out of the running.
Tebow got us in SECCG - '08
Beat Colt McCoy Texas - '09
Cam Back - '10
1/9/12 - '11
Beat Manti Te'o Irish - '12
Kick Six - '13
Zeke in the playoffs - '14
Beat Dabo's Clemson - '15
DeShaun Watson GW drive - '16
Beat Kirby's Georgia - '17
The strangest aspect of this 10-year run is that the only time we truly got our arse kicked was by Stephen Garcia.

Been alive to see 9 of the 17 titles. I have cherished these last 5 for sure. I realize that it will come to an end but I will enjoy the ride while it lasts.
