Ok, just checking
I was reading an article today that had him as the last 1st round pick and first center taken. I don't think he will go that high but should be somewhere between 2-4 rounds.

If he drops to the 4th round someone is getting an absolute steal.

Maybe the rest of the line just sucked that much but you would think if 1/5th of your line was 1rst round nfl talent you would be able to get some push at some times during games.

Well he was injured much of this year and the offensive philosophy changed when Pittman left and Enos got his wish for more mobile than masher OL.

Ya, his numbers in pass protect are the ones that stand out.

Bert throwing Austin under the bus saying he is permanently fricked up. Even though we all know it is true. You would think he would help a former player he helped destroy.

CtoTheV predicted this to start the season fyi

Damn that's disappointing. It sucks he spent his whole career under Bert and crew so we never got to see what could've been. He was thought of as a must get, big time recruit out of high school.

He could have made more plays had they not played him five yards off the ball

Analysis so far:
Austin Allen. Score 4.92 (Should be in NFL Training Camp)
Frank Ragnow. Score 5.75 (Chance to become NFL Starter). NFL Comparison: Nick Martin.
Henre Toliver. Grade: 4.93 (Should be in NFL Training Camp)
Austin Allen. Score 4.92 (Should be in NFL Training Camp)
quote:
Allen would have a shot if only his 2016 tape were considered, but it's hard to believe that the pounding he's taken and the lapses in decision-making haven't taken a toll on him. Allen has shown good command of the Razorbacks play-action attack at times, but he's never been overly accurate and his field vision has let him down too many times. He should find his way in a camp, but could have a tough time sticking.
Frank Ragnow. Score 5.75 (Chance to become NFL Starter). NFL Comparison: Nick Martin.
quote:
Three-year starter and team captain who brings a desired level of physical demeanor to the field each game. Ragnow won't wow you with foot quickness or athleticism, but he takes smart angles to his blocks and shouldn't be limited by scheme. His size, power, and anchor is a big plus as is his ability to swing over to guard if needed. Ragnow could struggle to stay connected to blocks against athletic interior linemen with quick hands, but his baseline play is equal to a solid NFL starter.
Henre Toliver. Grade: 4.93 (Should be in NFL Training Camp)
quote:
Toliver has good height and plenty of game experience, but he may lack the length and playmaker's mentality for consistent ball production on the next level. Toliver's speed and fluidity were insufficient in handling tight man coverage as witnessed by the high completion percentage he allowed as a starter. He has good hands and an adequate burst to close, but he's not able to maintain close enough coverage for those strengths to work in his favor often enough.

All of the NFL talent drafted under Bert was recruited by Petrino.

Yep, while true it isn't exactly something you should be saying about your QB who is trying to make it to the NFL. I'm not saying lie your fat butt off Bert, but put a little shine on the kid at least.

I never understood the Allen hate. Anyone with an average IQ would know that those guys were all Hog and if given a worth a shite OLINE could take a game over. Just look at Brandon’s last season.
