Mizzou can be in the Mars footprint for all I care, just keep the $ coming.
First the SEC gives us way more $ to join them at a full share.
Second they pump up our economy by giving us the SEC Tourney.
I love this conference.

Do you remember the reaction when the B1G decided to add a conference title game? What about when they added Rutgers? What about Maryland leaving the ACC to join the B1G? People enjoy college sports because they have fond memories of tradition and places and people and old things. It's part of the fabric. That exists anywhere, not just the SEC.
In the grand scheme of all that playing a conference basketball tournament in St Louis is much more on the "LOL it borders Illinois" than serious anger. Hell, it'll probably be a great tournament with good crowds and everyone will say how it should go there more often.

Not really, Most people just hate change in general and it is natural.
That being said, I don't mind it in St. Louis. Fun to mix it up a little. I would most likely be flying to any venue except if it was in Houston/NO so doesn't make much difference to me.

Southern Illinois is like all of the bad things of the south but none of the good.

Are we still complaining about the location of a tournament that only one fanbase goes to?
Posted on 2/19/18 at 10:19 am to SummerOfGeorge
This thread is dumb.
Kentucky borders Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
Texas borders New Mexico and Mexico.
Florida is a stone's throw from Cuba.

I think it's time we redo this.
I feel Clemson is a better fit. Sure the market isn't as big but the SEC has enough money. Time to bring in someone with our southern lifestyle.

Isn’t Kentucky’s campus like an hour and a half from Cincinnati?

ACC has some pretty severe penalties for leaving...Clemson can play for nattys in the
ACC... no reason to leave the cat bird seat.

Even closer to the part of Indiana directly across the river from Louisville
