I think Chad Morris is a good football coach, but if he is going to struggle to recruit he is screwed

It was also the smallest class we’ve taken. It’s almost like those two items are intertwined.

If you go by average star rating it's right where we normally are. They only signed 16 players.

Chad Morris is a solid coach. He will implement an offense that lets 3* recruits thrive. Arkansas will be a 7-8 win team every year (starting in 2020 probably), with the occasional 9 or 10 win season.

That’s what Arkansas is as a football program in the SEC

That seems hard to believe.

Based on his time as an OC and one winning season at SMU? I feel as if the jury is still out on this guy but that's just me. I'm not going to call someone with a 14-22 overall record a "solid coach" until he proves he can win consistently.

Hard enough to win at Arkansas as it is already. Gonna be tough for a lower tier program like Arkansas to succeed if they finish last in the SEC in recruiting. Too many natural disadvantages for that school to overcome to compete at a high level consistently.

You do understand that Arkansas is a higher tier SEC team than Tenn right?

Arkansas does not have nearly the resources Tennessee has

Have you already forgotten the loss to Bert in Knoxville?

You’re a 6-6 football program over the last decade. Apparently, you don’t actually have those resources either.

It was a tiny transition class and Bert certainly didn't do him any favors with where he was on the recruiting trail. I thought he addressed needs really well. Morris didn't accidentally get that Clemson OC job, he can coach. I don't know how he'll do long term at Arky but I know that he'll have better classes than this one going forward and that their offense will be a bitch to defend.

As to the resources, have you been to their campus recently? We toured all of the athletic facilities with our baseball recruits and they are very impressive and we've toured a lot of schools. Hell, I'm a Horn and I grew up always hating the Hogs but they certainly aren't hurting for resources/financial support these days.

Do you really expect the brain dead fricktards on this board to understand or even care about that?

The program was engulfed in flames and I can't recall a smaller class in my lifetime, maybe ever.

2018 was obviously going to suck for football, anyway. None of us are particularly worried about it.

Our facilities are among the best in the country and that’s not some homer take. I know it doesn’t fit the stereotype of backward, rural Arkansas from so many who have never visited.

Next five years will be better than last five because we have a coach that values competition, speed and having a pulse on defense.
