Vanderbilt is an excellent school. They don't have weird cultish traditions (outside of the Whistler). In baseball, they have 2 national championships and at least 2 runner-up spots (that I can think of) in just the past 10-15 years. Pretty sure their tennis team is really good and have a couple of titles but I'm too lazy to google it. The Vandy fans that I've come across in baseball have been good folks.

And btw, a b12 championship isn't exemplary it should be the expectation. So no, I don't think a guy that was under contract until 2027 deserved an extension for doing what he was hired to do. You may have different expectations and lord knows CDC clearly does, but for me the guy with the most talented team in the league (by far) should win the conference. That's not exceeding expectations, that's simply doing his job.

Imagine for a moment that Bama had given Saban an extension each time he met that metric.
