If it is proven in court that they knew about Larry Nasser and his habitual abuse of gymnasts and MSU athletes? I think they should for at least one year (but it will never happen). Thoughts of other ranters?

They should get what penn st did at minimum, but we all know the ncaa will be tame. Just like they were with psu. Less of a connection uproar with this one.

Why should fans and the athletic based businesses suffer?

Find the perpetrators of the crime and punish them.

Because fans/businesses hitched their wagon to the school, and need to hold them accountable. If not, then they go down with the ship too.

Penn State shouldn’t be allowed to have a football program after what went on up there. It has been totally brushed aside now and forgotten and they put Jay Paterno (who knew of the Homosexual rapes years in advance) on their BOT

What a sick and twisted place Penn State is.

Yes and they should be revoked their MSU naming rights Privelige.

Mississippi State now claims MSU solely.

Expecting the NCAA to act as some sort of vehicle to dispense justice is both stupid and concerning. We have a criminal justice system for a reason. Let it work to determine and punish those responsible. It’s like people have no idea what “innocent until proven guilty” means or why it is important.

You’re all so self-righteous. I hope you’re alma maters get caught up in one of these scandals so you can realize how unreasonable the media and public perception can be when this stuff happens.

You mean the OP that talks about things that involve the criminal justice system?

Just like Penn State, the NCAA getting involved in things because it feels like the right thing to do is a path that must be avoided at all costs.

This is not a NCAA issue. That's not fair to student athletes. This is a criminal issue and should be handled accordingly.

Agreed.

This is a criminal matter. I said the same thing on this board when the Sandusky crimes emerged in 2011.
