Gave us some of the greatest lines in CFB history including “whoa Nellie”,”the 6’4 sophomore from Aaaallllllabama”, “and that big Mack truck in the Georgia backfield” (HW). Roopville, Georgia guy too. He and Frank Broyles gave a southern tilt to CFB when the world hated all of us.

He was the best! No other can ever compare to him! Love the call in the 92 Sugar Bowl, “he took the ball, he took the ball!” Referring to Teague running down the Miami receiver and stripping him of the ball and returning it. Miami’s longest play that night!
