It just wasn't a Sugar Bowl without him calling it. That sucks.

Gave us some of the greatest lines in CFB history including “whoa Nellie”,”the 6’4 sophomore from Aaaallllllabama”, “and that big Mack truck in the Georgia backfield” (HW). Roopville, Georgia guy too. He and Frank Broyles gave a southern tilt to CFB when the world hated all of us.

Keith Jackson calling the game and Frank Broyles doing color commentary were an epic duo in the booth. Whoooooa nellllie!

I always recall when he was broadcasting miami-bama title game. Hey he's got the ball!

He is the standard they're all measured against.

He was the best! No other can ever compare to him! Love the call in the 92 Sugar Bowl, “he took the ball, he took the ball!” Referring to Teague running down the Miami receiver and stripping him of the ball and returning it. Miami’s longest play that night!
