It is ok to judge anyone who gives up over 50 points to wake forest. Its also ok to judge morris if he makes a questionable hire. Lets look at it like this. If bielema was given 1 more year and he fired rhodes and hired chavis and we just witnessed this game how would you feel? There's no keed to treat a coach like he can do no wrong his first year or 2. Thats what i saw from our fanbase at first with bielema and im seeing it again with morris. If we see something questionable being done by the coaching staff we should call it out.

I don’t see anything questionable with the hire. Sorry, not sorry.

the debate is about chavis veing a questionable hire. I think Morris went out and got someone established in SEC who is intimately familiar with the landscape and recruiting.

my only question mark here is recruiting.

judging any DC by one game is stupid especially someone who has the background and history of chavis

Yep. Has an award for best coordinator in the country and a national title game on his resume. I'm not complaining until there's a reason to complain.

So can we judge you for touting Leach the entire coaching search?

Morris hasn’t been on the job for a month yet.

Damn give him some time and actually play real games before judging and melting.

I'm happy with Morris hire just for the record.

Same i dont think the morris hire was terrible. I do think norvell, leach, and kiffin wouldve been better but we went with the safe hire that still gives people the spread they wanted. Oh well, hope it works.

Norvell was the “safe” hire imo

I just find it Ludacris that fans are happy with chavis.

I'd rather have Drewbie be the fricking coordinator.

I guess being passionate and wanting the best for our team makes me a bad guy or troll or dull crayon.

I volunteer as tribute. My first vow is to never give a receiver 10 yard cushion on 3rd down.

I want specifics. why don't you like chavis? is it his scheme? is he unable to X and O? does he have a poor track record of defenses improving under him?

I'm done for the day. You can read the other post. I'm going to chill, because I know it's not even in my control.

I just don't understand the logic in getting upset after that game. Was it a bad performance? No question but you should feel the same way you felt about Chavis before this game. I think it is an average hire and feel w/e about it. This game didn't change anything.

I mean 3rd and chavis is a thing for a reason. Ive also seen his defense sit in a zone shell and give up stuff late in games that have cost his team wins at lsu a&m. So mostly questionable in game management is my biggest concern. Hope he tears it up though

I've felt this way and posted before today's game. The game was embarrassing from a defensive standpoint even if it means nothing. I just never want to see that here.

So why come on a message board and get your BP up?

If he brings Caldwell with him all will be fine.

If you would do that and blitz then you might just be our guy. How much money you looking for? We have to pony up a ton of cash to lose a 400lb coach so it might be a little tight for a while.
