I believe Georgia will handle Oklahoma for a few reasons.

Look at Oklahoma’s record vs. SEC teams in the postseason when their QB wins the Heisman.

I believe Georgia has found their identity and Auburn was a great prep for offenses that use a lot of smoke and mirror type plays. Oklahoma is a more straightforward passing team with some RPOs but generally, I think a lot of people have seen what Oklahoma can do. Doesn’t need much explaining.

Overall opinion for the game is that Georgia does get scored on a good bit. But Oklahoma will have no answer for the rushing attack and that in turn will make it a bit easier for the young, but maturing QB.

Final score for the game ends up 35-24 Georgia. Baker has a decent day but throws 2 picks. About 250 or so yards and 2 of Oklahoma’s TDs.

Jake throws about 225 yards with maybe a touchdown or 2 with a pick. Running game shines.

tl;dr frick Oklahoma

UGA needs to pound the rock and keep Mayfield off the field.

If they don't, I think OU will blow them out.

A lot of people don't realize that they average 216 on the ground. They have a great running game.

Anderson had 960 yards. Sermon 710. Adams 542. Mayfield had 310 yards but mostly on scrambles and some designed plays. The RBs will hurt us on the ground, but Mayfield will destroy us through the air unless we can contain him and control the ball. 38 minutes in our favor is a must. I think our run game can do it.

They lost to Iowa state and TCU held them in check, yalls defense is going to destroy them. Chubb and Michel won’t play the second half

This year Oklahoma has a shared backfield. The season started with Sermon and Adams sharing carries. Anderson came on about mid-season and (more or less) became the feature back, but Sermon still gets carries. Abdul Adams may be the best pure runner of the three, but has seen reduced action because of a few fumbles.

Personally, I think Georgia should throw the ball and spread their offense out instead of hammering the run game. Oklahoma can actually play the straight up run game pretty well. You might recall, they faced good running attacks such as that of Jarrod Hurd, Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara, Kerryon Johnson, and won all of those games.

GA wins bc we're a balanced team with a good offense and a good defense. OU hides their shite defense behind the magic of Mayfield, which works, but they've had close calls with Baylor, Texas, & Kansas State. Got caught @home after a bye-week vs 30 point underdog Iowa State & a backup QB.

OU is not the best D GA's faced; GA is the best D OU will face.

Dawgs shut the OU run game down -- bc that's what we do -- and put it all on the shoulders of the emotional Mayfield, who's out to prove he deserved the Heisman by beating the SECChamp. He fails. Bc OU is not a 4Q team. Bc their defense is not worthy. Bc they should of canned Mike Stoops years ago. Bob couldn't do it bc family. Dawgs give Riley just cause to pull the trigger.

There's your silver-lining Sooners.

Agree to disagree.

UGA needs balance on first down.
We will formation you to death (shifts, included). This will include both power and spread. Spread will not required to be successful, though. Just to keep you off-balance with our multiple personnel.

Does what happened in 2015 affect this year's game? I'm just curious.

This year, you got run on by Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia.
We may be able to perform better than them and control that clock. That is my expectation.

It's gonna be a heck of an interesting matchup. UGA has a great not good defense. I believe AU is the only team to have any real success against them in the game at AU.

Best O by far vs best or 2nd best defense. Typically the D wins that one, but Baker is flat out ridiculous, does not rattle and plays better the more he is fricked with and the more pissed he gets.

Defensively, Roquan takes away your tailbacks (both receiving and running).

We rush 4 mostly to collapse the pocket without allowing escape routes (we might not get to Mayfield, but he will see the rush coming in). We will sprinkle the occasional blitz, zone blitz, and stunt to attempt to keep the offensive line on their toes. I don't know how successful this will be. But let's just say that we often catch QBs napping on the pass rush when they get inside our 40.

I think the time of possession and defense do a good job limiting damage assuming we don't get out of position on the home run ball.

Sooners having the #81 rank defense wouldn't have anything to do it, would it. 81.....Cot Dam

Dawgs gon' need them boys to play the whole game to win this one. I think they can do it but it's gonna take full effort for 60 minutes from everyone. Let's not bullshite each other.

But yeah, I got the Dawgs winning this one by a score (maybe 2 if BM shits the bed).

Reason 1: UGA didn't name their mascot after criminals who stole land and were executed.

You are being reasonable so I will be reasonable. You got an Auburn team with kerryon Johnson that had a QB with a bum shoulder and no backup. They were a pretty bad overall team. Hurd and Kamara? They had a very bad Tennessee team around them and they gave you all you could handle.
Derrick Henry? Yes. You have a point. I could make excuses for Alabama, but it would only be guesses. the other points are irrefutable, though.
You do know we had a shared backfield, too, right? Chubb, Michel, and Swift?
We won't come out slinging the ball unless that is all we can do. If we have success running the ball, that is what we will do. Mayfield is legit, and we know it. We will need to keep him off the field and limit his opportunities. It should be a good game.

This Georgia/Oklahoma game is starting to feel a lot like the Sugar Bowl match up between UGA and Hawaii several years ago. A troubled hot shot QB with an incredibly high opinion of himself and his talents. A lot of hype and hand wringing from the media as to how UGA could possibly slow down this high powered offense. This game is remembered for Colt Brennan spending most of the game lying on the turf admiring the Superdome roof. He was so over matched he was pulled after the half and ended up crying like a baby when his replacement actually scored on Georgia's subs. This game between OU and UGA Is starting to feel familiar. . Hope I'm right.

This won't be a runaway for us. If there is a blowout, it probably won't be a happy ending for us.

Ya think?
We had no answer, and made lost of unforced errors in the form of penalties, dropped passes and fumbles.
If we do that against Oklahoma it will be a long day for us.
If we play against Oklahoma like we did against Auburn in the SECCG we can beat them. It will be interesting to see what team shows up.
