I'd rather roll with Tosh during the playoffs.

Let Pruitt go to his new job. Don't think Kirby was fully focused when he did the same thing a few years back.

let Tosh be the man but let Pruitt stay on as an assistant position coach so he can say he coached them while winning a natty. Someone Pruitt may get the call from Momma to come home,

While I would tend to agree, the players apparently love JP and want him along for the ride.

Because Saban is incapable of making the right decision.

His son is named after Reuben Foster, Ryan Anderson, and Jon Allen. JP is a players coach and a gump if there ever was one, that’s why the Tennessee move shocked me. I don’t blame the guy for taking the job, it was just surprising. I’m surprised they offered it to him honestly.

Tosh has never made a defensive call in his life. Like ever. I understand the potential for distraction, but I'd much rather go into battle with Pruitt.

That's how I feel. Let Tosh or whoever, help more with the game planning than usual. But, I want the guy that knows what's going on to be out there when we play Clemson, and then UGA.

Obviously it'll be challenging for Pruitt to juggle everything. However, he will have some help -- from former UT HC Fulmer and from CoDC Lupoi and Saban. It may work out pretty well.

I'm sort of torn and don't really know if I'd like him to stay on and coach or get on to Knoxville. The good thing is that I don't have to make that call and fully trust Saban to make it with all the info and knowledge he has available to him.

Any time an asst coach gets a head coaching job....he needs to move on especially when he going to be competing against former team.

I would feel more comfortable letting the DC go than the OC. Saban is still heavily invested and involved on defense, right? If so, we'd be better off.

With that said... I want as much continuity through the playoffs as possible.

Saban clearly feels differently.

Having a guy call his first game ever as a DC in the championship playoff game doesn't seem to be the best idea to me.

Well you would rather lose then. We thought the same thing last year with our OC situation.

From what I've been reading they aren't certain Tosh is going to be the man, a lot of people are saying they don't believe he's ready to be DC.

Is this his first year as co defensive coordinator? He is going to get one hell of a raise or something because we can't afford to lose him right now.

I disagree Tosh has not been making calls all year. There's enough communication issues with sDH out. We need Pruitt to make the calls. He is better at juggling both than Kirby and especially Lane. We don't want Toshs first experience at adjusting in game to be against Clemson in the playoffs.
