OC/QB Joe Craddock
WR Coach Justin Stepp
Recruiting Coordinator - Mark Smith

Means no more Kurt Anderson, Dan Enos, and Mike Smith so far

Bummer.

Mike Smith is a loss I think.

I think it's time Enos took a HC job again. I like the guy even when he out schemed himself on occasion.

Yes he is. He has a potential 1st Rounder on his hands that he coached up.

I'm hoping he adds Jeff Traylor as well. He's supposed an east Texas recruiting ace.

Yeah, it was a bit of a weird move for him to come here to begin with. He had his team in Michigan moving in the right direction when he left there.

My friend who is from CMU said that the vibe CMU people got is that Enos didn't like being a HC

Maybe that has changed, but I could see someone wanting to focus on X's & O's + gameplan rather than the tedious responsibility of being a HC. Lot of HCs talk about how the job is like 90% administrating a program + kissing boosters butts and 10% coaching football

Doesn’t Smith have a history as a RB coach, too? We get an extra assistant sometime soon right?

Yes, but I suspect Coach Morris will try to bring Jeff Traylor with him if isn't hired as full time HC at SMU.

Only one on that list I’ll miss is Smith.

Good recruiter, especially in LA, and did a solid job developing our WR corps.

Hopefully. Depending on what we do with defensive hires we could just have Traylor do ST/recruit.

This is purely speculation, but has anyone else heard anything about Kevin Kelley from PA getting a look at a potential spot on the staff?

How does Morris use TE’s? Or does he?

Freeze used the move TE in his offense as an oversized slot receiver to a degree, and Engram became a stud in that role. Inversely, Malzahn tends to use the FB/H-back hybrid (like Philip Lutzenkirchen) in his offense seemingly as more of a blocker and occasional pass catcher. I know Morris uses concepts from both offenses but not sure where the TE fits in without watching a little game footage.

Can't speak as much about SMU but in his best offensive year at Clemson. His top TE had the stat line of

40 rec 480 yards 12.0 ypc 8 TDs

The next TE registered 10 catches.
