I'll melt intensely inside if Gundy ends up at UT and we didn't take a major shot at him. He should be OUR coach dammit!
If our GOBN are stepping on toes and trying to do this themselves we're fricked. They're STILL hung up on Gus and it's gonna end up costing us greatly.
I'm trying to tell myself that the search firm hired is the top of the line and known for big names to keep calm. Hopefully theyve taken the reins and are leading this thing now because I've never heard as much info bouncing around up there in NWA, a lot of it being conflicting. I like a lot of what I hear privately, but the publicly reported stuff is worrying me.

You people are way overthinking the search committee.

Agreed but those numbers if true are ridiculous. Doesn't excuse the lack of trying though.

Can someone make a list of who's been interviewed and who we will interview?

Mike Irwin and Bo talking about the BOT getting scared about all of this money going out the door. Bo says Bert's buyout is 11-12mill plus 4.5 to Long. If that's fact, we'll be hiring Norvell on the cheap I'd imagine.

I was happy with Petrino and Bielema at the time of the hire.

Perhaps they should’ve thought a little harder about approving their extensions until our football program had climbed out of the cellar.

Mike Irwin and Bo are Jeff Longs mouth piece.
I haven’t kept up with the news today but has the university confirmed the search firm has been hired?

FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas has hired two search firms to assist in the hiring process for the Razorbacks' football coach and athletics director.
Los Angeles-based Korn Ferry will vet athletics director candidates, and DHR International will assist the university's search for a football coach, according to a release. Arkansas fired Athletics Director Jeff Long on Nov. 15 and fired football coach Bret Bielema on Friday.
UA Chancellor Joseph Steinmetz assembled a seven-member advisory committee last week. The news of using simultaneous search firms came shortly after the advisory committee met Tuesday.
“The search for an athletics director is progressing quickly and there are a number of talented individuals we are considering,” Steinmetz said in a statement. “We understand speed is of the essence and are working to name a new leader as quickly as possible.”
Interim Athletics Director Julie Cromer Peoples said DHR International was brought on to help with the football coaching search last weekend. Cromer Peoples delivered a termination letter to Bielema following the Razorbacks' 48-45 loss to Missouri last Friday night and met with assistant coaches the following morning.
On the night of Bielema's firing, Cromer Peoples said there would not "be a formal search committee for the process."

That’ll be chump change compared to how much they lose if they make the wrong hire.

These guys are gonna frick this shite up.

There's nothing to frick up. The search is basically done.

Who are we hiring? This isn’t tardville. We are a family here!

The search part is useless without a signature on the dotted line. I can have twenty candidates picked out months in advance but if they say no then I've gained nothing. The "in the know" posters here and tardville both keep saying calm down it's all done already and the names they keep floating are Gus, and if not Gus then Norville. So you're telling me that we are basically waiting on Gus to say yea or nay and if he says no then Norville is the guy. Has Norville agreed to this? Has he told the powers that be that he will accept no other offers until we let him know something? I find that hard to believe. This "all is well" narrative is bullshite.

Gundy is just working another raise.
I'd be shocked if he goes to that shite show.
He's got OU on the downswing losing Mayfield and Stoops in a much easier division.

Things can change, they often do.. However, Norvell has made it known that he isn't going anywhere unless it is Arkansas following this season. He wants to stay close to family, friends, and loves the state of Arkansas.
Arkansas has been his dream job for a while now. Again, that can change.

Gus, Norvell or Kiffin. One of those.

I can live with any of those three.

ASU is a concern, but they can easily pick up Sumlin if he is indeed their top target.
