But thomasbrown told us uga had played in similar environments in south bend and jax. What happened?

I'm going to get destroyed for saying this, but I believe we got Auburn's absolute best shot on Saturday and we folded like a cheap table. I think a rematch would be much closer. I don't know if we could narrow the gap all the way and get a W, but I refuse to believe our run game was that bad.

I agree with most of this. Auburn played extremely well on both sides of the ball. But at this point in the season the "pulling it together" factor goes way down.

Both lines are now veteran after 10 games. Improvements come much smaller now than in the 1st 6-8 weeks of the season.

I would be prepared to be beat quite easily by either Auburn or Alabama.

If you catch Auburn in the SECCG expect them to try and run the score up on you as they will need to impress the committee.

Exactly. At no point this season have we had a team able to just line up and run the ball right at us successfully. I'm shocked to see the numbers for those seven games cause at no point did our run D seem to struggle much at all.

AU has zero respect for Fromm. Lock down number 7, and focus on the run. Fromm can’t beat you with his arm. It is kind of the problem with that O, and a reason Saban got away from it.

Yall have 2 true freshman on the right side of the O line. You cant fix inexperience and not being physically able to block grown men in 3 weeks.

GA also never broke a long run to up the YPC averages.

I think the longest run we gave up was like 7 yards wasn't it? Not sure.

That would make a big difference.

I'm not implying that you can. They can play better though.

The difference in 2 weeks will be Hurts as a runner & fact he's got some elite talent at WR

Another stat that is deceiving. AU got ahead big in most of those games and the other team had to ditch the run, then AU gave up a big run late when it didn’t matter.

Steele was going to make Fromm beat us. It's that simple.

I would love to see the numbers with our first line D. A lot of teams have gotten yards, in the fourth quarter, when we had our scrubs in. I even got playing time one game.

A little, but not that much. These yards below were all with the game within 14/17 pts.

Arkansas : 22 for 98 (4.45) (until AU went up 24-6)

LSU : 39 for 157 (4.03) (full game)

MSU : 30 for 100 (3.33) (until AU went up 35-10)

A&M : 31 for 138 (4.45) (until AU went up 42-20)

Auburn has been good against the run but they haven't been suffocating like they were against Georgia since the Clemson game.

I mean, sure, but Auburn had been a good but not great rush defense for basically 2 months and Georgia just crumpled in the run game against them. If Auburn could have done that all year and didn't for some reason then somebody needs firing.

You mean because Auburn was playing backups and walkons in the second half, most of those games? That's when the opponents would get most of their yards. I agree. Steele needs to gtfo for that!!!

I guess that's the talking point now, but it just isn't true. See above. A&M had 99 yards on 5.2 YPC at halftime 2 weeks ago. LSU had 115 yards on 6.4 YPC at halftime. Arkansas had 108 on 5.7 at halftime.

Auburn's starters gave up somewhere between 3.33-4.50 YPC the last month or two while games were still in doubt and starters were in the game. Thats a good number. It's not 1.44 YPC, though.

Can't have a good run game without good running backs

Auburn plays 3 rotations on D line from the start.
