I think its almost set in stone that he will be a first round pick now after his performance in the camps and his huge untapped potential.

Im sure once the deadline passes and new mock drafts come out, he will fly up the boards and be in that 25ish spot.

Which in no way guarantees you’ll be a first round pick.

Looks like he’s staying in the draft. Best of luck to him, and I hope he’ll do well. I just legit think he could have been a lottery prospect if he came back.

Any new source? Still seems like largely speculation as the Draft Express comments came out right around the same time as Nic's denial.

I’d love for him to be a first round pick and I can absolutely see a team taking him late in the first because that means they’re already a good team and focused on guys with upside. I personally would just worry about his shooting percentages and TO issues (although he won’t be asked to do as much going forward).

Rodney Hood, ex Ole Miss signee, just committed to the Dawgs. Big pickup after Claxton decided to turn pro.

Last remaining piece we needed. Could really have used Claxton coming back, but this certainly will not hurt.

More like an undrafted free agent and out of the league in three years. Hope he speaks Russian.

Claxton just got an invite to the green room. Wow.

Awesome for him.

I feel like GS at 28 would be a good spot for Clax

High energy kid... high energy team... talks shite like much of their players... Draymond and Clax would be damn nasty on D TBH.

And with that, Claxton ends up missing the first round as we all projected from the beginning. Color me surprised. Would have rather seen him go first round now that he's committed to the draft but would have been better for him to return... Just seems much less likely for guys to have a combine performance actually push them up a round earlier in the NBA... Hype/Buzz without significant draft pick adjustment seems more often the case.

Woot. Reverse jinx does the job. 1st pick in second round.

Still hurts because there’s no guaranteed contract for 2nd rounders as far as I believe.

Such a huge difference in the 1st and 2nd round from a benefit standpoint.
