Sumlin's job security?

To the Aggies on this board: how would you rate Kevin Sumlin's job security right now? It's amazing how quickly things can change. Through about week 4, everybody thought he was toast. Then they appeared to right the ship, and "Fire Sumlin!" talk seemed to die down. After the loss to Mississippi State, where do you guys think things stand? Let's say A&M finishes the season according to Vegas expectations (losing to Auburn and LSU, beating New Mexico and Ole Miss), and wins a lower-tier bowl game to finish 8-5. Would Sumlin then get another season? If not, would 9-4 with an upset of Auburn or LSU do it?

No way is A&M going to fire Sumlin among the current SEC coaching chaos.

woodward already said 8-4 isnt good enough. it will take a meltdown from auburn for us to even get 8 wins. hes a dead man walking

I think the A&M vs AU game is basically a loser gets fired bowl.

They'll get their arse beat by LSU and all you'll hear is "we wanted you to push our shite in so we can fire Sumlin"...
And then he'll still be there.

He gone.
I have no inside information or anything like that, but I'm 100% sure 'he gone.'
Two to three years of rebuilding (if you can even call it that) coming.

The biggest Sumlin knob polisher, Billy Liucci, basically said on the radio this morning that, after the Mississippi State game, if Sumlin doesn't beat Auburn this weekend, he has no chance of being retained.
The exact quote was, "He can't prepare for the future because if he doesn't win this weekend, there is no future."
He was almost sobbing saying, "I wanted so bad to shut down the hot seat talk" etc.

He has to win out. The end.

33 yards of offense in the first half vs State.
He has about a 33% chance of retaining his job provided he wins at least 3 more games this season. I see a max of 2 wins.

He'll be gone. Hopefully, Woodward will prove to be competent at his job.
