Best was Murray by a mile (Tarkenton if talking NFL).

Worst I've seen was Tereshinski.

I'd hate to label one of the guys the worst but if I did it would probably have to be Dondriel Pinkins or Corey Jenkins under Holtz.

Jenkins was playing the wrong position. Dude was a fantastic athlete.

Wesley Carroll was nowhere near the worst.

6 Phil Petty

Agree...but Jake Bentley is about to go on a rampage that'll eclipse all of them.

For LSU I would say it's a toss up between Jamarcus Russell and Zach Mettenberger
For Honorable Mention's maybe.

Bert Jones and Tommy Hodson at the Top of the list.........

I don't think Mettenberger is a top five LSU quarterback, much less top two (Jones, Davey, Hodson, Russell, Wickersham, Risher, Flynn, Mauck, et al). Sure, he had some great stats one year, but he was surrounded by NFL skill players and more importantly, I can't think of a game he won that actually mattered.

This. And it's not even close. The QBs MAYBE weren't as bad as the coaching around them, but it was hard to watch. Oh, and the best QB doesn't even need to be mentioned for State.

Best of the best: Cam. Other great ones: NM Campbell, Cox, Craig, Nix, Sullivan

shitty QBs: Kiehl Frazier ( Easily the worst-even Jeremy was better than him) Jeremy, JF3( and by default, since JF3 qualifies for the list, Kodi Burns makes the list as well) Mosley, Cobb

Average careers - Caudle, SW

Wesley Carroll? He was freshman all SEC and won a bowl game. I want to say he also set a school record with consecutive pass without an INT before Dak. Carroll went on to have a decent career at FIU also. I'm nto sure how Tyson Lee beat him out.

I may have to say Henig. Kid had heart but that was about it. He threw like 15 int's against LSU one year.

He just wasn't physically capable of playing SEC calibre ball but he had guts to go out there at 5'-6" 145lbs and get crushed.

Paul Christman. In my life time it's a toss up between Phil Bradley or Chase Daniel.

The worst QB I have ever seen take starting snaps was Jim Dougherty.

Yea, state fans saying Carrol and Lee as the worst qb we've had have obviously forgot poor Mike Henig.

Henig went 11-28, 120 yards, 0 TD, 6 INT's vs LSU in the nationally televised season opener in 2007.

These guys were not SEC quality players but they played their guts out and did the best they could. I find it hard to bash a guy that gives his best even though it's not enough.

I agree but that still doesn't change the fact that they were some of the worst Qbs. I still think Henig was significantly worse than Tyson.

Since I've been alive...

Best-Tim Couch
Worst-Morgan Newton? I have a few to pick from. And it's awkward because he beat both Georgia and Auburn on the road.
