Last things I used to read on tRant and TD was all negative about Florida-Georgia Line. I didn't post this on the music board, because they are a little hardcore when it comes to music. I just want some normal views and opinions by the OTB.
I used to hate them, and I was tired of the pop-country shite, but personally I've grown to like them a lot. I like the cross of Country.Hip-hop/rock-n-roll vibe. They're videos are poppy but still set me off with a good mood.
I'm sure I'll get alot of downvotes and oppositions, but what do y'all think about FGL?

I don't.
The only time I'm forced to hear shite like that is at the lake in the summer in the background while I'm floating on a life vest drinking beer. It takes a lot of beer to deal with it. A lot.

This is kinda where I expected this thread to go

To me FGL isn't "country". That said, music is music, and those that have to fit in a genre to like it are jackasses. If it fits your mood/ setting it is worth the listen. I've drank many a beer listening to FGL...to HWJ...to BIG...to journey and bob segar. Music is music and if it's good it's good.

It's not my cup of tea, but I hold nothing against them. On the "shite I get upset about" list, they don't even register.....unless they don't use a turn signal when driving. If they do that then frick those sorry bastards.

I hate them in public but secretly jam out to them when nobody is around. I'm a garbage person. I sincerely hate that talk-singing POS Sam Hunt though.

I don't listen to country.

They covered Fred Durst Rollin and just renamed it. The original was bad enough. Add county/pop to the pot and stir till simmering took it to a new level of vomit inducing ear bleed. That alone should be worth jail time.

I'm not a big Country music fan, but they sure as hell aren't country. Whatever they are is unbearable.

ETA: Is this what you're talking about? LINK Thats defentily not a Rollin cover. I cant find anything else that is remotely close to rollin.

it features Durst as well as the chorus being the same and spoken rap between said chorus - other than that, you are correct, they have nothing in common.
And the put Rollin in the title of the song

It's what I call bro country. Not great music but it has its place at parties

I like them, they have catchy songs. Not traditional country but that is ok. I pretty much like all music.

They are an abomination.

I think they are awesome for bro-country. I grew up hating traditional country music, and still do for the most part. The new country like FGL, Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell etc. is perfect for sitting around the lake or a bonfire.

In general not a fan at all and will change the station if they come on (thankfully they don't show up on Prime Country, Willie's Roadhouse or Outlaw Country).
I will say that their song Dirt strikes a chord. I guess it id because I have gotten older and know that someday soon my parents won't be here, and neither will the old homeplace where I grew up.

I like 'em.
I also just like a broad range of music and DGAF what groups/genres I'm "supposed" to hate. People get way too wrapped up in shite like that.
