Tonight was pathetic. The only person who was motivated in the entire building was Frazier and he had to guard that smug bitch 35 whose like a foot taller than him too much tonight. Our game plan sucked. Our fundamentals looked awful. Our effort was shite.

Fox teams:
Make the NIT, don't give a shite
Make the dance, just happy to be there

Zero adjustments all night.
We played 2 posts yet didn't attempt to offensive rebound so we couldn't matchup on defense and didn't use our advantage on offense. We doubled their 1 post player the entire night and allowed wide open 3's which is what they wanted us to do. Never figured it out.
Crump sat on the bench last 10 minutes while we played Wilridge the entire time who was a non factor. Crazy how stubborn our coach is, just refuses to adjust.

UGA can do better than Fox. At this point and time, we need a coach that can utilize the strengths of Hammonds, Crump, Harris, and Maten. I really don't give a shite if it's a stepping stone. A coach that plays an up tempo style with that group could do some damage. Fox will squander Crump, Harris, and Hammonds and there will be a guy on this board saying it's par for the course. Give em' 4 more years... yada yada bullshite... Get some fricking energy and let the talent loose. frick this awkward, archaic, half court shite Fox calls an offense.

We should but I think the only way he leaves is on his own.

True, but we're missing two starters and no one cares in the NIT

This is such a ridiculous statement. We lost to a decent Washington (4 NBA players including Isaiah Thomas) team by 3, and a Michigan State team who was a ridiculous 7 seed and ended up making the final score by 7.
Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the reasoning behind wanting to fire Fox. I just think it's moreso due to his regular season struggles than the postseason ones.
ETA: That Washington team won the PAC-12 tourney as well. We didn't get favorable draws at all. Just need to make the tourney more than twice in eight years.

I'm not sure how you can be 40 miles from ATL and "not do the AAU thing". I don't see how any modern coach can be successful without embracing the AAU circuit

Serious question
What can you point to about UGA basketball under Mark Fox and say, "This is our strength and this is what we are going to do consistently well the whole year"? Every year we are average defensively, we are average on the boards, and usually excluding 1-2 guys, we are an abysmal shooting team.
I would say possibly our ability to consistently make it to the free throw line? Anything else?
Seems like a lot of Fox's success has come off of individual talent (ex. Frazier, Maten, KCP, Gaines, Mann, Travis Leslie, Trey Thompkins), which he is not a good enough of a recruiter to maintain.

I'm probably wrong, but I think we're generally a very good defensive team. I'll eventually check our FG% defense, but I would guess more often than not we're a top 50 team.
Fox is really good at defense, and developing big men.

Tonight showed shite defense and not much good work from the big men. Maybe the awful sec just inflated our stats like it's inflated total wins?

Can someone create the bat signal for DD22?
