Adam Anderson
Anderson is making a push for that five-star discussion when the 2018 rankings are updated. He has added strength, is playing stronger at the point of attack and has one of the best get-offs in the country. Anderson has been a nightmare off the edge this season. He is long, extremely athletic and is showing that he is one of the best in the country. Alabama and Georgia look to be the top schools at this time, but Auburn, Clemson and Tennessee are hanging around.

Coynis Miller
It is not that Miller has played bad by any means, but we'd like to see him make a few more plays. He can take a play or two off and not go 100 percent as much as he should. You see the size, the strength and the athleticism, so the ability is there. We just want to see him a little more active. He has a lot of potential. That is why Alabama, Auburn, Florida and others are fighting for him.

I was surprised Tennison got in. Even more with James. I know with Forristal out for the year, we needed more
I'm just glad we signed 2 guys in last class so that we have enough of the "backfield pieces" to run Daboll's system...if you've noticed he likes movement with those guys and they have to be punishing blockers
I've been really impressed so far with most players he has utilized a number of different ways out of the backfield
I'm also tired of scraping the bottom of the bucket at the TE position when the starter gets hurt and the guy coming in is a lot of the time is asked to block a legit pass rusher who he's giving up size and weight or speed to, it's good to see those young guys get experience IMO

Alabama defensive tackle target Coynis Miller will make a college commitment on Oct. 14, he announced on Tuesday morning.
The finalists? Alabama, Auburn, and Florida.
Currently the Gators are the public leader for Miller, followed by Auburn in the second spot, rounded out by Alabama at three.
“Just show me that I’m wanted and continue to have a great relationship,” Miller told BamaOnLine recently of what Alabama and Auburn need to do to overtake Florida at the top of his list.
UA offensive line coach Brent Key is Miller's primary recruiter. Defensive line coach Karl Dunbar has been more involved as of late, too.
The Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin product grew up an Alabama along with his father. His mother, on the other hand, is a fan of Auburn. Regardless, the four-star defensive tackle said neither will factor into his decision.
Alabama hosted Miller earlier this season for the Fresno State game, and is expected to get him back on campus for the Ole Miss game this weekend.
At 6-foot-1.5, 300 pounds, Miller is rated the No. 15 defensive tackle and the No. 162 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
Auburn leads the Crystal Ball at 62 percent, Alabama holds the remaining 38 percent.

Feeling better about Miller. Just not enough to think it's a slam dunk yet.

Miller will be at Bama this weekend, can we read anything into that?

Coynis Miller, one of Alabama’s top defensive tackle targets in the 2018 class, is almost ready to announce his commitment to his school of choice.
Miller, a 4-star prospect from Jackson-Olin High School (Birmingham, Ala.), will announce his commitment on Oct. 14. His finalists are Alabama, Auburn and Florida. Miller has said that Florida is his public leader for a few weeks now.
The nation’s No. 15 defensive tackle has said before that Alabama is the school recruiting him the hardest, but as of late last month, he said Auburn and Florida were standing out to him.
The good news for the Crimson Tide’s chances with Miller is that he is visiting Tuscaloosa this Saturday for Alabama’s game against Ole Miss. This will be the second time he has visited Alabama this fall. He was on campus for the team’s game against Fresno State.
Miller doesn’t have any official visits set, so if he ends up visiting any of his finalists in the next two weeks, that will be something to closely watch.
It should be noted that Miller has told SEC Country before that leaving the state for college is something that he has seriously thought about.
“It’s high. It’s really high,” Miller said. “I’ve been staying in Alabama my whole life. I kind of want to get out and see the world.”

Auburn to host Bama commit on third visit in 2 months
Mark down Alabama commit Quay Walker for another Auburn visit.
The 4-star outside linebacker from Cordele, Ga., will visit the Plains for the Ole Miss game on Oct. 7, he confirmed to SEC Country. To my knowledge, it’ll be his third visit to Auburn since the end of July, so it’s time to consider the Tigers as a legitimate threat to flip him.
The Tigers won’t be the only ones attempting to do so.
Walker has shown interest in Florida State, Georgia and Auburn despite being committed to Alabama. For the most part, Florida State and Georgia have been the programs seen as most likely to pull off a flip, but Auburn has to be firmly entrenched in the conversation.
Seeing as this is the third visit since July, let’s take a look at the other two. The first came for the summer cookout.
Walker attended the cookout for what was believed to be his first Auburn visit since committing to Alabama. For this trip, he was decked out in Auburn gear, head-to-toe, with a T-shirt and sweat pants. He declined to do interviews, but allowed reporters to take pictures in his Auburn clothes. He issued a cryptic message when asked whether a flip was possible: “You’ll see.”
The second visit was almost as cryptic as that last message.
Walker went to Alabama’s home game against Colorado State when Auburn played Mercer. On his way back to Cordele, Ga., he stopped by the Plains to hang out with a few of the commits in town, as well as his high school teammate Markaviest Bryant. Walker stayed in Auburn overnight. There wasn’t much else to report from that, but it’s worth noting he spent the night after being in Tuscaloosa.
Against the Rebels, the Tigers will have another chance to sell Walker.

From the same article:

Bo Nix injures ankle, out indefinitely
In a bit of somber news, Auburn 2019 quarterback target Bo Nix will be out a little while with an injury.
Nix is Auburn’s top target in the 2019 class, but he will be limited for a majority of the 2017 season with a fractured left ankle. He injured the ankle during his team’s shutout victory over Jasper (Ala.) over the weekend and has confirmed that it’s fractured.
Nix’s timeline for recovery hasn’t been set, though he’s hopeful he’ll participate in the team’s playoff run.

Are you going to the Hewitt-Trussville vs Center Point game on Friday night?
Posted on 9/26/17 at 2:17 pm to TideSaint
Nah, you don't want to go to a Center Point game I graduated from Erwin and they built a new school and named it Center Point. It's a much different place now
I actually graduated and was friends with Rod Rutledge (played TE for Bama and the Pats). He came over to my house a few times and played video games
Here is a twitter video from Cole Cubelic of Bama backup linemen killin folks

Was watching Bama vs Tenn 2010 recently - W 41-10
Marcel Dareous was a total monster.
Trent Richardson was a bad man when he weighed 225#. After watching some old games I'm convinced the knee surgeries, and the gained weight is what brought him down. He had breakaway speed, great feet, and he did have good vision in our scheme. His struggles in the NFL was health, weight, confidence issues IMO.
That 2010 team had so much talent.
