What does Sumlin have to achieve for 2017 to be considered successful?

What is your way too early prediction for the 2017 record?

If Kingsbury came back to be OC would you be happy?

I've lowered my expectations. 9-3 would make me happy.

I'm 99% off the Sumlin wagon, but I'd be happy with:
-9 wins in regular season
-top 6 run defense in SEC
-find QB of future

I think we'll be 6-6 or 7-5. 8-4 would be exceeding expectations but not enough to make me think we aren't spinning our wheels

10-2 would be fantastic, 9-3 he definitely keeps his job, 8-4 my guess is it's "see ya".

But I expect 6-6 or 7-5 at best, because these sumbitches have worn me down.

No on Kliff. Kliff was fun, but I think he was successful because we had a Heisman-winning QB.

- 9-3 or gtfo. He should be gone already but I don't have the ability to waste millions on college football coaches . 9-3 with what we have next year would inspire quite a bit of confidence, but no way in hell is that happening.

- 6-6

- No. The Kliff meme is stupid. It was extremely lucky timing. His current Tech offense would get kicked in the dick in the SEC.

I think if he goes 8-4 he'll have to just destroy in the bowl game to not be fired. Maybe only lose 1 game or less at Kyle as well.

Too many question right now not answered. to Say anything over 7-5 IMO.

I wouldn't mind seeing an exciting offense again that tossed the ball deep. I didn't like the mazzone hire and still don't.

9-3 would be a good year for the Ags. In my estimation going 9-3 will mean the run defense has improved quite a bit.

I would be pretty happy with 9-3 given the number of players we are losing this year.

For me to consider Sumlin a success (as in he gets to keep his job), he has to hit the following baseline milestones in 2017:

-1 or fewer losses at home
-10 or more wins in the regular season
-No losses to .500 or worse teams

I suspect our record will be 7-5 or worse (losses to Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, and one of the Mississippi schools at a minimum)

It doesn't matter who is OC, DC, etc. Head coach is shite.

If Hubes is opening day starter and holds the job all year? They better go 10-2 regular season or 9-3 w/a bowl win. Anything less w/a QB that has been at the school for 3 years and the 2nd year of the same OC is unacceptable at this point.

I can handle 8-4 w/a bowl win if they go w/Starkel or Mond and it looks like they will be able to really develop into something special. Also, there can't be losses like LSU where the defense plays so poorly that the offense can score 39 and the team still gets beat by two TDs.

That said, if Hubes holds the job going into Arky I think they currently look like a 7 win regular season team at best.

Hubenak's next win over a P5 team as a starting quarterback will be his first.

Louisville 27, A&M 21
Ole Miss 29, A&M 28

9-3 with a win over LSU or Arky

Hell I think we go 9-3 next year because why not?

Kliff has a job and signed the only top 10 Texas player in the entire Big 12 on NSD.

9-3 minimum

7-5 (5 loses = Bama, Auburn, Lsu, Florida, Old Miss)

Not sure. Not sold on mazzone yet, but also not sure kliff didn't succede because of a heisman qb behind 5 offensive linemen that all played in the NFL with a NFL receiver to throw to (2 if you count swope having to quit because of concussions)

Just announced the SEC is paying out $40 MILLION per school this year. Should make this more feasible in 10 months

$40 million is the magic number where we makes more money from TV than the sips do.

We won the Texas Cold War.
