MU landed 11 4* recruits from 2014-2017.
6 were on the 2017 roster. 3 were starters at the beginning of the season.

1 example who has marginally (maybe, results say no) improved recruiting.
Nice job

From 60s to the 20s isn’t a marginal improvement.

The 60s is way below their station. They are probably a 30-40 range school in most years. So yes, marginal.
In the 3 years prior to his hiring they were 44,47,41. Not sure where you are coming up with 60s at.

Jeezus you guys. Bo is not a good recruiter, but judt as Les Miles did less with more, maybe BO will do more with less. It is possible he knows he needs to make up for bad recruiting with great development. His DL will be one of the best in the country. His WRs can be deadly. And his RBs are some of the best.
Recruiting rankings didnt help UT or Florida. And Purdue kicking our arse wasnt because of recruiting. He's got the clay, how he shapes it is whats most important.

BO isn’t that bad of a recruiter. He sucked in state this year, but he also had 1 of the best out of state classes Mizzou has ever had. 2015 with TBJ is the only class that was better outside the state.

A hand in his face? Wide open? From 25-plus feet out? None of that was a problem for @LuhhDaniel who had nine 3-pointers and a game-high 36 points in Blue Springs' 88-71 win over Lee's Summit North.

all that success on paper and 7 wins is quite marginal.

I would like to know which coach told him he couldn't be a Dlineman for a P5 program......so I can send him a gift card.

Yes. You’re conflating the argument.

Talent finds the field. 21 4* players and 5 have been difference makers. One RB, one WR(provided he can stay on the field), two safeties, and one offensive lineman.
No DL or LBs.
24% hit rate on "elite" players. 7 Wins.
Tell me more about how awesome Kentucky is at recruiting.

Right.
Our own coach has stated he wants to recruit better. Odom has stated he wants to win and have number one recruiting classes. Odom has stated he intends to win National Championships. Somehow individuals still take the glass is half full approach when our own coach has stated he wants to win recruiting rankings and national championships.
Kentucky is merely an example of how limited past football success and mid-tier recruiting can improve under the right staff. Also, this is the same Kentucky who has beaten our 3 stars 3 years in a row.

Lol.
It was stated in another thread that MUs 22 starters averaged a 5.6 3* player across the board.
After trouncing MU on the recruiting trail for 4 years, Kentucky's 22 starters averaged........a 5.6 3* player.
Only 5 of those 4*s have been contributors. Boom Williams was one of the 5 and he wasn't on the roster last year. Landon young wasn't a starter until the guy ahead of him got hurt.
This talent differential doesn't exist.

I think the MU/UK recruiting argument is a good example of how, after the elite "no brainer" prospects are identified, the water gets murkier really fast between the 4-stars and high 3-stars and obscure 2-stars.
I think it's proven year after year there is not as much certainty about the higher chance of success of 4-star recruits as the rankings suggest.

Appreciate being allowed to post here.
The 3* LT that you guys got out of St Joe, MO in Bobby Lawrence is the son of a friend of mine. This kid is huge already and still looks like he may be 14 yrs old. If he can maintain hip flexibility and get stronger and a little meaner I think you got a dang good one.
He scored pretty well in charlotte at one of the Nike challenge whatevers.
